I did sports science at uni and we HAD to do gymnastics as part of the curriculum, and we were forced to do all the events to pass. There were always fking injuries every single week and I'll never forget doing the high bar, after some instruction we were literally just strapped us onto the bar and just spun around LOL. With one girl the strap came loose and she landed face down really hard and her back was knackered for weeks, also she had friction burns all over her hands where the straps had come loose.
Every week the half of us in the class that were crap at gymnastics were literally shitting ourselves before the class, fun times!

The thing is, until she falls off the mat holding her head, it looks like it's part of the routine.
Spin, spin, headstand, flourish.

I watched this with my 8 yr old at the time and had to explain why there was no replay. The medical team did take an age to get there, and when they did, they swung her round a few times before deciding she might be hurt and then put a neck brace and stretcher out there.

how many times did everyone keep clicking back to watch it again ?
I must have watched it twenty + times ... it's the height that she bounces off her head that makes me wince.
