Excellent thread. This should just be the beginning though and I agree profits need to be spun up further. You should stick to what you know though. And you don't know about dodgy motors. You know about fashion. And you know how to queue. So queing for suits or fur coats is the next logical step. Wimbledon tickets would also be a winner. Maybe the profits from this investment could be used to purchase a small tent and basic camping provisions. Yeah Paul thought the guy with the tent in the Choo queue was a saddo but let's not be too hasty here. Don't forget this guy was in 1st place and he was obviously very well prepared. That guy was a pro. Let's be that guy.

good post!

While you got wet and cold and battered by the wind he was comfortable dry and out of the wind! Not really a loser IMO!

more fun for buyers though when you can put in your max bid as £100.03 to try to bag those bargains from the £100 max bid peeps Cheesy

Please don't outbid me on the blue shoes, I wanna nick em and then re sell them when the glut of Jimmy Choo's has finished. Smiley

I shant be bidding on any choos - I picked up some nearly-as-nice-as-the-choos-red-sandals red shoes yesterday from Debenhams, and they were 40% off Cheesy Should probs be on the mini-ship it thread actually

The guy in a tent was a girl she was warm but she get pissed ppl shouting IS ANYONE THERE every 2 mins and the whole tent being shaken every 20 mins they queued up for 12 hours for one pair of shoes. Pretty drastic imo. She could just bought it off me for 400 on ebay the next day:D

Total bid so far in total is £517.85 so over half way to breaking even with 5 days left.

Why was it set up to increase bids by 1p?  Surely best to make it by £1???

You want as many bidders involved as possible so pennies are the best.

The more bids you have the more attractive you auction looks.
Anyone who bids then receives emails to say you have been outbid, this item is ending etc
Every extra bid pushes up the price in general as its all just a build up for those last 20 seconds when anyone who knows how to use ebay bids.

Yeah, why would anyone bid at any time other than the last 20 seconds? It's like duhhhhhhhhh!
Ebay recommends that you choose how much you're prepared to pay then go ahead and bid that asap so it doesn't 'get away. Errr duhhhhhh!
If I want to buy a ton of stuff (like coming up to xmas) I just open a new ebay account, run a trial at www.bidnapper.com and let it snipe the last second for me.

I've never had anything to do with ebay, I think they are a scummy operation.

However I must admit Sunday is going to be a fun sweat.

It's how they distribute posters which are far more likely to be devalued by creasing...

posters are just a single sheet of paper though - if they're good quality carrier bags, which i presume they are, they'll get wrecked by being rolled up.
