the title of the thread is a bit heartless kev. I was expecting a prison sentance for driving offences, not a serious accident where his life was threatened. "GG" is a bit cuthroat

LOL @ someone who tells people to die in a greasefire almost daily, referring to a thread title as cut throat

That's nasty for him. Thankfully he's financially sound (I'm guessing he is anyway), and he and his family won't suffer in that respect. Was an excellent keeper who never really had the chance to show his true potential imo (although he earned a decent wage whilst on the bench).
I know footballers aren't allowed to do certain extreme sports according to their contracts, and would have thought that riding a motorcycle might also be something they weren't allowed to do, because of what happens when you come off a bike.

I blame Petr Cech for stealing his helmet.

Oh, I know it was his choice. He got his compensation in financial terms. I don't blame him either, and maybe he doesn't feel as though he missed out. I think football fans might have though.

He is the one main example i would use to tell any young player why he would be better off playing for a slightly lesser team than sitting on the bench week in week out for a bigger club.
He was never going to be first choice once Chelsea got their millions and wasted probably the best years as a keeper by warming the bench.
I have never actually rated him as highly as many people do, he made a lot of errors and the fact that he couldnt hold down his place at Spurs proves that.
Not nice what has happened though.
