Very plodding. Mistake free plodding though in a field remarkably free of dancers

Four hour final table, with three hours to go from 9 to 7 players!

Right up my alley.

Poker heaven indeed. I wish I'd been there now, I was in Brighton, surrounded by bloody Upstarts.

LOL, that ain't poker, I'm almost inclined to award half points. A small, weakened field devoid of Brightoners/dancers and three hours of grinding it out against the likes of Danny D'Boring. Jeez.

On a separate note, I'm still thinking that 5 bonus points should be awarded for a podium finish in a field of 100 or more. Forget for a minute the fact that myself and Alex would benefit from the bonus going back to NYD; it can't be right that grinders can bore Monday night fields to death and pick up 12pts, while a handsome dancer can put a sumptuous move on Willie Tann and only pick up 9pts for third.

It would be good to get some feedback as to what others think but the editor's decision will be final (obv, lol).

Updated up to and including Monday 12 Jan.
Tightend's second sees him surge to the top of the table, on alphabeticalness from Alex. It was a struggle to find an alphabetical reason why that should be, with Richard, Prew and Tightend all below Alex, Martin and Baldrick.
Eventually I decided to go with 'Endy' above 'Martin' ftw.

sanity is restored to the table. Reverse alphabet FTW.

surely, Mr Editor, game selection is a skill to which nights you choose to play? I chose to play a night I normally wouldn't aware that most Dancers on ice would be absent and thus the field would be more grindable, suiting my limited abilites. Boy was I right. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I would be inclined to add extra points for festival events at Luton, but not merely for those with over 100 runners suiting dancers, ice skaters and pyrotechnicians. but I would say that wouldn't I?

How about

Buy in X Runners X Points based on place (12 for 1st, 10 for 2nd etc)  basically like the Euro rankings.

Certainly make it high scoring

could also add a multiplier for the number of times pulled a move on a celeb poker player to make it more fun Wink

*DECISION MADE ALERT*
There will now be a 5pts bonus for 100+-runner tournaments and double points will be awarded for Festival events.
In a move that will surprise many I won't be backdating the new scoring system to include the New Year's Day tournament...(unless someone insists that I do so...).
