3rd place points please Chomps. Chop chop with the two form players ahead of me, the fantastic MDD and Mr Noonan.

What a ludicrous comp this is. Blinds 8,000-16,000 when we stopped, average 5x bb lol, the whole field had sub 10x the big blind for the last 30 runners.

MDD does it again. He da man. Any comp, any structure, any time. MDNoonan second, MDTightend third for nine points which put him within touching distance of Snabbaticalramas.
There's defo a very set way of playing this tournament, aside from going all in but not really and then calling for a ruling obv.
Either get an uber stack early and keep pushing or wait and play the double-up game at 1500-3000 onwards.
A couple of MDRuppin hands from last night that were just staggering, and I'm not including his utg limp with Q3 off that led to hitting quads.

Blinds 150-300, utg limps, MDR raises to 700. Avi, two to his left, makes it 3500.
Folded back to MDR, who obv calls.
Flop K78.
MDR all in for 10,000, Avi insta calls. MDR KQ. Avi 99.
Next...
Blinds 800-1600
MDR limps, SimonG makes up from the SB, Sky dude with around 20,000 checks.
Flop 10 9 4
Sky dude all in with 10 5.
MDR calls with K9.
Turn a 4. River a king.

Different game.

Still, at least, cough cough, splutter splutter, he always plays the game in the right spirit. Eh eh eh?

The Luton G website is finally showing the August schedule...on the 20th!

A couple of corkers I witnessed last night

The Western chap makes it 12,000 out of a 60,000 stack at 2,000-4,000

David Tearle flat calls the 12,000 in the big blind from a 40,000 stack

flop K A 10

David Shoves

Insta Call

David K9 off

Western guy A Q

River 9

Dominic Hair restorer limps in the cut off at 1,500-3,000 from a 45,000 stack

Nirvana shoves on the button for 30,000 roughly

Dominic Regaine thinks and thinks, thinks some more. Eventually calls

Just for men AQ

Nirvana A9

A bit of verbals ensues

"Do you really think it was a slowroll?" says Dominic "Really?"

Nirvana spikes a 9.

This is either brilliant or daft. Arrogant and obnoxious Sky player (a rare breed, most of them are fine chaps) in the hand

Two limpers at 800-1600, A and O sky checks his option in the BB

flop 3 5 6

Sky bets pot, one caller

Turn 8, three spades on the board

Sky bets pot, called

River 10,

Sky checks

Oppo bets pot

Sky gives him the bunny, and calls. With 3 4 off no spades

And wins lololol

I wish to make it clear that was not me, as far as I can recall.

It was in fact the Sky Poker Forum's answer to blonde's Flushy - scotty77.

And he's not arrogant & obnoxious at all. He's exactly like Flushy.

There's defo a very set way of playing this tournament, aside from going all in but not really and then calling for a ruling obv.

You have a wonderful way with words. There's no need to insult & be offensive when you say things as well as that.

I really thought you two were sort of buddies?

Congrats to MDD - legend.

My first midweek visit to Luton since Pre-Vegas, & as Tighty says, what a weirdly structured comp. But if it gets good footfall, then there can be no argument.

I decided to go for Flips very early, won the first to be near Chip Daddy, lost the 2nd. No complaints. I was 50% above average when I bust - & I had 20 x BB!

Enjoyable, nonetheless, & especially so to see the blonde Ladies looking so good, Ding in a lovely & very colourful get-up, Claw with her retro 70's hairdo, Hold Or Fold who's put a tad of weight on & looks splendid, & Evil, as menacing & enchanting as ever.

Most enjoyable.

you've just reminded me of something that tickled me last night. I was sat chatting to Edna pre-comp and Xpressman came over and said to Edna something along the lines of 'I see you've joined blonde. I thought you were already a member, aren't you Evilpie?' Cheesy

No points for anyone last night. WP.

Re: the arrogant and obnoxious Sky player, scotty77, aka Ryan Stimples(?) is certainly not short of confidence in his own ability. I had him on my table a couple of Wednesdays ago and told him he 'must be one of the best players on Sky.' His reply was brief and concise: "Definitely." He's right, though, one to watch out for, seriously good, even though I pwned him.

You may have felt like a gooseberry but that didn't stop you having your second kebab in less than an hour innit...
J'adore mug de china. But will get my revenge at some stage, probably with a sumptuous slowroll. Sorry Thomas but you sure deserve it imo.
