Fell victim to the now 41 year Sudoku Heater last night

The Daily Mail Puzzle page pencilled veteran limped utg, called my (KK) small blind pot sized raise, called a pot sized lead on a J-9-3 board with Q-8 off and binked the gutshot 10 on the turn to scoop.

The equally chastened Galloway befell similar fates as the poker gods chided his (not mine, well perhaps mine a little) lack of sportsmanship at calling for diamonds so loudly.

As the above was the only hand of any note for me all night, pretty happy to get <10 bigs with 20 left to average chips with 6 left. Couldn't quite see it through to a nearly pulled off chop or a meaningful cash though.

Oooooooooooh, we have side bet action between myself and Boer Wars!

A not inconsequential amount has been wagered, with Boer Wars offering me 6/5 about G-Rodge's list finishing above Rockstar's.

So I'm backing the poker talents of myself, G-Rodge and Ian Noodleman over those of Boer Wars himself, and two of my poker heroes, Tikay and Snatiramas.

Rockstar holds a lead of 78 but there's over three months to go. Come on team Rodge!

As of this morning, the two Luton threads are gonna be merged into one super-thread. Most of the league folk have an interest in the Fantasy stuff anyway imo.
Plenty of leaguers in attendance last night, inc Celtic whose KK was no good v AQ on a king high flop obv, Pelham the card rack, and Tikay, who reported he was set to bubble and may well have done (didn't cash anyway).
It was left to Jonny Plum to take it down at the expense of Tony Deluca, Neil Brooks and a few randoms. 18pts put his list within touching distance of Luther in third.
Canna wait for the March tourneys played figures to start rolling through, there are going to be some mega numbers this month imo.
