Remember seeing a 'Western top money earners' table a couple of years ago and Paul Wimbledon was top of the pile. Sure he'll hold his own at the G but also sure he'll find it tougher going innit.
Last time he was in Luton, before the weekend, was New Year's Day last year, when we chopped it four ways - me, Womble, Mrs Womble and the great Willie Tann. That was the night I put that sumptuous move on the Tann man. Aah, happy days.

At the end of around ten hours of poker, the upshot was Boer Wars 15pts, me 6pts, Celtic 5pts.
Good-quality final table, with Chinese George and his missus, Paul Wimbledon (the only ex-Western regular called Paul with anything like a game), Co-Operative 'good with food' voiceover man and a couple of other solids present.
Good player is Paul, and amusing at the table too. Has made regular cashes at The Western. Yup - Paul Wimbledon is good player (obviously too good for Chompy ..... did you beg for the saver at "the end of around ten hours of poker"?).

I haven't got a phuqqin clue what's going on and did half my stack in minutes - but after quickly reading some 'strategy tips' on an online site I'm bluffing the bollox off the gayboys on my first table, got my chips back and more!

You'd have thought the clue would be in the name, but I've seen plenty of times where people clearly think they've got the winning hand with a straight.
