Is this Callum Noble u r talking about?
Q5 is HUGE with 9BB
73 has lots of potential too. Think of flops like 777 333 773 337 456; just beautiful imo
Yes. Good player imo

AHEM; yes, that's what I meant.
Actually, on reflection I think I'd fold KK in that spot; some1 will call with raggy Ace and bink it imo.
And as for Queens; no chance!

At the moment I'm kinda reliant on Rockstar or someone at the final table letting me know.

Got to the final with very good chips last night, and two key hands undid all the hard work to get to the final. Firstly, I raised Tom Mylands big blind with pocket tens, made it 16,000 to play, get called, and Tom cannot pass his 3 4 suited, flop comes 7 4 3 I bet 16,000, caller goes away Tom re shoves all his chips, I pass my tens face up. A few hands later I am on the big blind with king queen of clubs, and as this website calls them another shove monkey puts 60,000 chips all in with Q 5 off suit, it seemed like he was stealing, so after a bit of thought I called, only to be told why did I take so long to call !! I said for 60,000 chips and more or less my tournament life, I was entitled to think. The rest is history, As I went spinning out of the tourney, despite the fact there was a lot disrespectful comments when I was outdrawn, (Thank you for those touching comments, more reason why I play less at the G nowadays.)
What I fail to understand, is why with no chips in the pot, somebody would wish to shove his whole tournament life with absolute rubbish one off the button, especially after working so hard to get into the final, but hey these players are a lot better than me, and have always got an answer why they did it, and what good play it was, and how can I call with K Q
Well played ..........................he says sarcastically.
Xpressman.
Hi Ian,
The same player had open shoved with
a few hands earlier (when I called him with JJ), so when he shoved again (this time with Q5), I think he thought your long think was something of a slow roll (given his wide range) and that you should have snap called him. Trevor Payne defended you strongly, saying "it was for his tournament after all." You made a good call and got punished for it by a cruel board of 3 4 6 7 x.
For what its worth, I think Callum is a good player and bearing in mind he only had 9 BB when he shoved, I don’t think it’s too bad. (I'd done the same myself a few hands earlier, running my AJ into AK).
You just got unlucky after making a good laydown against Tom and a good call against Callum – but that's poker!
Unfortunately tis the nature of the tourney, 60K sounds huge but when its only 9BB its pretty much auto shove..playing poker has gone out of the window.... The key to success in this comp I'm afraid is to have the strongest of right arms nearly all with marginals....
And shoving with 7 3 was certainly practicing what you preach
Was a thing of beauty...
blinds & antes = 7500 + 2 weak limps 6000...total 13500...2 players behind me...my stack 22000 =didnt even need to look... bb 10 10 gg wp...LOL

Stuck on 24 players tonight until ten minutes before the first break...then three cristal-swigging chavs turned up at once, unloaded some mad onez from their burberry wallets and took their seats to ensure league points on the night.
The player best placed to take advantage when I got knocked out was S.Galloway, running like a dream as usual and having already had AA v KK (held up obv) for an uber stack.
Boer Wars, Pizzled and Holdy also remained.
More in due course...
