Not many runners for the "Showcase" tourny of the week as i left the G late afternoon, around 18 started the £100
30 if your lucky seemed to be the way it was heading
Congrats to Nirvana, despite having the 3 Amigos drunkenly railtarding him,he deserved his deep result, keep it up sir
Sky poker brought a bumper field Friday, chopping it up was slightly awkward at 6am....
I'm up for the chop all day long normally if regs are involved, the final 5 wanted the chop,my problem with this was the money would be leaving the G never to return IMO,I'm chip leader and the chop gives the very short stacked player £1000
Next out was £330
Forget I'm chip leader,i had the beating of players who i wont ever see again.Lucky,Gman,Boar Wars negotiate a better deal for me from the rail and two of us take £1250 with the rest £1000
3 of them were here together for the Sky tourny the next day,i feel that if i say no to a deal I'm gonna be playing the 3 of them when I'm in pots, their really pushing for the deal and it puts me right on the spot, thoughts?

?
The Sky poker day was impressive,it ran as smooth as you like courtesy of Tighty, and unlike the truly awfull pub poker leagues that turn up on Saturdays nowadays, the people involved were spot on
Met a great bunch of lads from Wales who were playing the afternoon comp, and had a few beers with them in the evening
The cash was very lively later on,and the card room was buzzing all day
The Sky presenters turned up later to mix it with the players over a few beers, which they were lapping up from what i could see,was a win for the G in a big way,why cant we have more events like this?
Saw Chompy in the evening 8pm`er,random drunk Irish chap was dribbling over the table getting more and more drunk which i could see amused Chomps
A great weekend all round, just off to the Omaha 8pmish jobby to get outdrawn by the Rupinator
Happy Days...
