Yes Paul was there.

In fact we shared a table, a good chat and lots of knowing glances at the goings on around us. I certainly understood why Luther had christened it “Tit Tuesday” and I think Paul was wondering why on earth he’d bothered to make the effort to attend his first ever Tuesday event. I don’t think it compared to the recent WPT event he’d played and at one point I’m sure he said he’d rather be at home watching Coronation Street!

One player, quite suited to Tit Tuesday had been annoying us both with his running commentary and tales of his local £3-6 Omaha games (yes, sure) and how he’d been reduced to £30 comps. He annoyed me even more by felting me for my first 1,500 stack when he called my UTG raise with QJ and my AK was no good on a K 10 9 flop!

A few hands later, 4 players (excluding Paul and I),  saw a 7 10 J flop with 2 hearts. One by one the first 3 players moved all in until play reached said “Tit” who also moved all in, saying “would you believe it?” as he proudly turned over 8 9 for another flopped straight. He wasn’t so happy when he saw what he was up against;

Player A had for a straight flush draw.

Player B had a set of tens.

Player C had KQ, drawing to a bigger straight.

I don’t think he believed me when I said his nut hand was probably an underdog!  In fact on checking I think he was about 26% to win with so many bullets to dodge (any ace, any nine, any heart, any 7, 10 jack or running pair).

The turn was and the river the case ten, sending him to the rail amid much smirking from Paul and I and leaving the table a quieter, happier place!

9 for me chomps

Amid all the comedy September totals comes this Monty Python-like moment of utter genius.

Nine? You cereal? You've practically lived at the G this month.

Remember, there's no point massaging totals leaguers. The double check will flush out an ne'er-do-wells at the end of the campaign.

Since monthly totals is the hot topic, I is assuming all those present at Crocus Circus last Thursday have included that one in their figure?
