noooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

dont make this woeful mistake, "3" are literally the worst company ive ever dealt with in my life and i had a dongle with them which has dreadful signal everywher; the worst customer complaints team in the world (obv not based call centre in England); and they stich u up everytime u say u want to change the contract!

i tried to end the contract and just pay it off and they told me some bullshit reason y i couldnt!

NEVER EVER EVER BUY A DONGLE FROM 3G!

ty gd nite

this

i bought a couple of dongles from 3 as a 'backup' for a customer of mine. the thinking was that if their business broadband went down, we could deliver a dongle to use for a couple of days until the problem was resolved.

out of 16 sites, the dongle worked in 2. the rest of them got such poor coverage

I still do not know how to connect to the net through my G1. Thanks to Kinbo

First thing you need to do is get root access to your phone, which is difficult to 'maintain' unless you're a geek (like me).

Actually, I think that there might be tethering apps for non-rooted phones, i'll have a look.  I'm sure you've done a search on the market already though?

http://www.junefabrics.com/android/  There's that app, but it's $29 for the full version...

No search as did not know what I was searching for. dohhh...me
