Its a bs rule in regards to keepers imo anyway, like someone is through one on one the keeper takes him down, shock horror he's the last man back, well what the fook do you expect he is the keeper afterall!

I thought they scrapped the last man rule recently and changed it to denying a goalscoring oppurtunity

I'll not too sure tbh , you must be right tho. In a typical one on one scenario attacker breaks through faces an onrushing keeper, striker cleverly nicks ball by the keeper , keeper takes strikers legs out of it with his hands you know the type.So imo its redic to send keepers off for this Give the Pen give a yellow and lets move on. Keepers should be immune from that Last man back or denying a goalscoring op rules IMO.

And how is that fair to the attacking team?

Should take their shorts off

Frank Sinclair did this when he scored for Chelsea.

the way it was explained to me was that if a foul in the box denies a clear goalscoring oppurtunity then it's a red card and a pen. if it's not a clear opp then it's a pen and it's up to the ref whether it's worth a yellow or not (or a red I guess if it's a really bad challenge)

I think the only player allowed to take his shirt off when scoring should be Ryan Giggs, purely because his team mates can keep their hands warm when they hug him....especially this time of year!!!

A few seasons back, when the booking for shirt removal rule was new(ish) the FA sent out posters to be put up in dressing rooms to remind the players of the rule...

That worked well...

If I were a manager and one of my players got himself sent off for two yellow cards, one of which was for taking his shirt off I would be incandescant and would definitely fine him a minimum of two week's wages.

I reckon that would soon stop the trend.

Let's face it, you don't see me flashing my six-pack every time I win a big pot at DTD.
