I got the hud sorted out after a little while, cheers James. I got back grinding and ran abs golden. After 60 games, I was absolutely freezing cold, got more germs as I had the flu jab the other day, also had blood tests the other day as well so see what comes of that. Anyway, so I had locked up at least a 3rd in a 3r and had a couple of others that where semi-deep, at that point i was +200 for the day and stopped regging. I went on to bink another 1st in a $15 and won the $3r as well as a couple of over finals. I was left one tabling a $8 and finalled that, finished 3rd.

Overall, a very satisfying first day back, ship that comma day, final profit for the day of +$1417.85 which is actually the biggest winning day I've ever had at sng's, lol. Quite clearly I've ran sick good but considering I'm pretty rusty I'm pretty happy with how I played, I went through one of the hh's earlier that I'd won and found 2 marginal spots and that was all.

Thanks, obv it's only one day and long term results are everything, but before today I was very confident I can still do well at sng's.

I don't do regrets, such as I don't regret spewing off like half off what I won in the MC and then proceeding to be on the "breadline" for the following few months after that, but one regret I would have if poker ended tmoro would be how little volume I put in at 45's when I was crushing them, I should've been grinding hard every month and making shit loads but they only month I actually bothered to put in some proper volume was the month I had the 1k prop bet, which is just dumb on so many levels. So if I get too a similar standard at 180's and proceed to make the same mistake again then I really would be a bit of a twat, I don't want to be a twat Smiley

I'm only 25 so it's not like I'm old, obv, but it's about time I got my own place sorted out, in my defence I did buy a house  I just need to behave a bit more responsibily, esp regards money.

Nice one fella, I have read every page of this diary and it seemed you had been quite down in the past while playing the cash games.  I think SNG's and Cash are completely different beasts, just because you crush one and not the other can be soul destroying after a while.   Good luck with everything!

It's pretty much a totally different game. Cheers, keep those tips coming, hopefully I'll keep winning so I can get involved in a few  Wink

If you had won the ME for 8 million or whatever it was this year, how long do you think it would be before you'd play poker again ?

Surely some hefty celebrating with family and partying with friends needs to be done before getting back to grinding ?

Thinking more travelling to play another major comp more so than sitting at a cash game for japes for a couple of hours locally.

I doubt I would ever play seriously again, invest and live off the profits for the rest of my life would be the plan.

Of course if stars was interested in sponsoring me to fly round the world playing poker on their dime I wouldn't turn it down.

Congrats on the comma btw.
