Definitely getting the computer tonight so will hopefully have it sorted and ready to go,think I'll just spend tmoro setting tableninja and holdem manager up then have the rest of Friday off and then get set for a massive grind in May.

Anyone know where I can find a version of Super Mario Bros with all eight worlds on,Played two versions now but they both end after the first world ??

Ray
I don't have HEM on my lappie so that might be why TN was running fine for me. I have it on my PC(which I never use) and my pc was as slow as fk ever since I had HEM, even when not using it.

Whilst reading your blog it seems there have been a few times that you have cancelled a session or hit the beers too hard and been too hungover to play the next day. You also mention that you haven't been getting the volume in that you need. Do you think that you may need to change your outlook and be even more professional? This isn't a dig in any way, you obvo want/need the flexibility that playing semi-pro gives you(who wouldn't)and you are obvo crushing thus far. From reading it just seems that you could be doing even better!

I agree with you and the hungover next day thing is a problem since it means I'm losing two days not just the day I go out.I think it's important to find the right balance to mix social life/poker life and maybe I'm not doing that as good as I could be.This next month is going to be an interesting month for me as I've had two weeks off now pretty much bar the odd short session here and there due to the computer problems so despite the fact it's my birthday in May and I'll be going to the bash I will not be pleased with myself if I don't play 3500 games in May.It is a must that I make supernova this year so a good month of grinding will help towards that as the World Cup in June will probably lead to not great numbers volume wise.

Your last comment is something that is an interesting point due to how my last couple of days have went.Obv I have ran sick good the last couple of days and that wont last but I find it hard to set the line/not have a line of where maybe I should stop and lock in a good day.As James alluded to you should keep playing even if you've had a sick good start since you generally play better when your doing better but then it's easy for things to change and a great day can easy end up as just a standard day.I think it was good for me to do things as I have this week because of my worries about my roll. I would keep grinding when my roll is big enough for it not to be an issue but I just felt it was nice to be able to lock in a couple of really good days and give my confidence a boost.I've kind of rambled on a bit there and not really made the point I was trying to get a cross.Basically,I certainly intend to make as much money off these as I'm capable of and do intend to put the time in so that I can do that.I'm certainly not just looking to make the difference between what I'm losing from work by being part-time.I do feel like I have made some sacrifices in order to try and do the best that I can at these such as giving up my season ticket.I guess if we get to the end of May and I don't come near the column figure I've set than I'll have to give myself a talking to.

Your qoute of wanting to do much better than just make up the difference was what I was thinking too. Although I would probs do the same as you and cut short a session whilst well up, like your last couple of sessions, particularly when it represents a large part of your bankroll at present.
Hope the PC setup goes smoothly and that your current run continues

Like I say if i had a 3k+ roll and was able to 20 table then I would've kept on playing. In a wierd way I'm actually looking forward to being able to get back to playing 20 and get back grinding properly,I say wierd because why would anyone look forward to grinding that many tables Smiley

Also as well as making more money,As I mentioned in the previous post making supernova by the end of the year makes a massive difference and that is motivation alone to put big numbers in volume wise as platinum is 27% rb whereas being supernova at the beginning of the year means you get 42% rb.

When I was doing it part-time Saturday was the best day for me to be able to put in a full session so I decided to stop going to the game so that I could play, very sad I know Smiley I bought it on a three year deal so still have it for next season but haven't decided what to do yet.I do miss not going but Saturday is really a work day now so not sure what I'm going to do.Obviously a lot of our games in the prem wont even be on a Saturday so I'll see.

That makes sense and shows commitment, the reason I asked is because it sort of defeats the objective does it not, your playing poker so your life can be better and more flexible ie gaining more enjoyment from life but you have had to give up something you love.

I might have missed something though as I think football is for benders Wink Ooooh Ive got the ball now, chase me chase me! Someone paint a wall and Ill watch that instead. Wink

Another reason that I gave it up for this season was because I sit right up in the gods in a rubbish seat so when It got to about January which was exactly half way through the season I decided I would try to move my seat so I could sit nearer the rest of the lads that I go up to town with as I used to sit on my own,I rang the club up and asked about moving seats and they said "yeah no bother, but you'll have to pay the difference for a full season to move" I asked why would they charge the full amount when we are half way through the season and they even sell half seasons tickets, the reply i got was pretty much because that's how we roll.It was only like a £100 but they're just ripping people off doing this imo so I decided to just not go for the rest of the season.TBH i love the club but my love for it has faded a lot over the past few years with the jokers that run the club, and if I'm honest a lot of the fans really piss me off as well with there constant bs in one way or another. One of the last games that I went to before stopping there where three lads about my age sitting probably about 30 seats along from me and next to them where three younger lads probably 14-15.The older lads decided to start giving them some shit and it looked like it was kicking off and they looked to be threatening them so the younger lads left,it was just after half-time.I then looked around and there where so many groups of older blokes there who could've intervened or even just told a steward but nobody gave a shit to do nothing and it got to me a bit.I guess I could've told the stewards myself and maybe I should've but I didn't fancy getting myself brayed and not much I could do to help the younger lads.It was quite strange because I was constantly staring at one of the older lads with a face that made it clear I wasn't impressed and after the younger lads had left they walked all the way along and past me and I was wondering what they were doing,I'm quite the paranoid type Smiley They were actually just going the very long way to get to the toilets.

Standard....

Got the new computer installed stars and tn then as expected I'm having problems with HEM it's such a nightmare program,Won't let me activate the license as it's already been registered twice so I deactivate it from old PC and it still won't work.Even deactivated it from the laptop just so I could sort it but it's not having it.I'm currently trying uninstall re-install for the second time and have sent an email to support.Fingers crossed I can get this sorted tonight.

I am going to be doing a prop bet with Tank for May for a bit extra motivation and because props are fun.

The prop is I have to make $3650.49 in May.It will be a tough ask but it should get me going to grind a bit more and it's just for bit of fun,the props $100.It's definitely achievable as I can make at least $1 a game at these so just means I will have to put the volume in.I'm a prop virgin so looking forward to having a bash it this.Sure is a good start if I don't get to do a session tmoro but hopefully get this sorted tonight.

I may also be doing another prop with James but not sure if we're doing that or not yet.

Just finished off sorting HEM now. Please let that be it for computer problems for the near future at least.Despite not doing much I'm wrecked and ready for bed.I wonder if Tesco will be bringing my second order of six crates tmoro, fingers crossed.

It's back on the grind properly tmoro,200 games at least lets gogogogogogo.

Enjoy your weekends and glgl everyone playing the 300.

PS It's strange to be sober at 23:25 on a Friday, feels weird Smiley
