Really know the feeling with bandits mate. Once at Alton towers I did £60 chasing a £5 jackpot. I caught it for a quadruple jackpot but that's not rele the point. I'm the same in the sense that I can't leave one alone if it's in a pub. I used to get tips for a few £250 jackpotters and used to make a tidy sum, but since then I just can't leave them. It's so hard.
Glad to see your back on the grind and doing well. Keep it up!

I read your posts about fruitys aloud to the wife and asked what advice, if any, she would offer.
She says "Get a grip of yourself"
Hope this helps

What's the point in playing on the bandits? You know you can just win money at poker, and the amounts you can win on the fruit machines are comparatively small. Even if you win £500 one day, so what?
On holiday with my family they wanted to play bloody bingo one time, so we all went. I shipped the £125 jackpot, and they all couldn't understand why I wasn't excited about it. Okay, it was nice to win a free bit of money, but it's going to make 0% change to my life, and all I have to do is run 10% worse at poker the next week and there's your £125 quid.
If you find it fun, then meh, but seems like a waste of time to me.

I hate fruit machines. Not bothered about them until I've had a drink then I can't help myself. I was on a work do the other day and really showed myself up playing on the fruity all night. Piling £20 after £20 in, I managed to take a double jackpot to break even then everyone wanted a fucking drink!
I wonder what it is that creates this relationship with the machines. We both know they have payout rates at like 70% and also know we will do our bollocks but still do it over and over.
Must be the flashing lights!

That's what I'm saying MC, I'm pretty sure mondo knows how silly it is to play fruit machines, but still does.

I started playing on bandits when I was 16 me and my mate used to go meet up in town on saturday mornings just to play the bandits.
Obv fun but not a way to make some £££ but it is very satisfying when u drop the jackpot and. U get a cool tune and flashing lights
I stopped when I got into poker.
I even bought a bandits book for 15£ [ ] helped alot

I know it's stupid to play on them. It's also very true that the amount you can win on them is pretty meh. I don't know why I'm so bothered about playing them as I don't enjoy it when I win even, I put £8 in a one the other week and dropped it and wasn't bothered, but I really get annoyed at myself when I lose a load on them when I haven't got much money. The day after I dropped one from £8 I had about £150, total. I had spent £30 and had £70 on me, put that in the bandit, sigh. I then went to the cash machine, got my last £50 and put that in as well, and was home an hour later, gg.

Bandits weren't the only thing I burnt money on yday, I got this crazy idea in my head last night after having a few drinks that playing a $33 hu match on Stars where there are no blind increases would be fun, WTF at people who play them games, after about 5 minutes I was bored sick, think I jammed consecutively for about 70 hands before he finally calls, gg me. Also The millionaire game I linked up isn't as easy as I had hoped, shock there eh! Questions like what is England's record vs Pakistan in test cricket is hard to google in 10 seconds. I still reckon it's do-able but again trying after you've had a few drinks makes it a bit harder.

excellent diary tekkers imo. thats how he does it. and by arranging every one of his social plans on the thread to boost hits. yours is right up there though bud.
and i think the tanks wife has it right - pull yourself together - you're out with a mate in a pub, unless he or she or they are rele dull why don't you just wanna hang out with them? did my head in the other night when we were all going out like 15 of us to celebrate deadmans deepstack bink and ppl were playing on fruit machines in the bars - was so lame. cant see the upside either, as ppl said, not like you could win a significant amount of money at all.
