I know MC sometimes checks out the thread, didn't want to ruin it for him.

Glad you enjoyed the wrestling

Haha, easily the most annoyed James got in Vegas was when there was something wrong with the wrestling he was trying to watch online.

As for the poker, I've had a two week break now and I'm looking forward to getting back playing,
I've moved from Stars over to ipoker
and will be getting back grinding this week. My Dad gets back off holiday tonight so will probably go see him tmoro and then get back on it from Wednesday.
Why the switch to ipoker? Sry if I missed it in the diary.
'Stars seem pretty good value at the moment (although I don't play at your level of course).

I lost Supernova at the end of September so would only have been getting 27% rakeback, and although I don't just want to be a rakeback pro, rake is pretty important at these stakes so it made sense to move.

So Rooney gets a 3 game ban, I expected he would and it seems fair enough. But, is anyone seriously suggesting not taking him ? What he did is indefensible, he's an abs clown, but he's by far our best player. We should be able to get through the group stages without him but he will be the 1st player on the team sheet for the 2nd round, how can anyone suggest not taking him ? If it was as a punishment, we'd be punishing ourselves a lot more.

Good 1st day on ipokes, after a two week break I was pretty excited about getting back playing when I woke up, I'd be a little worried if I wasn't after such a break. I finished+$330, for the sole reason I ran like god:
KK>>>>>>>JJ ai on 774dd, QJ>>>>>>109 on 108x9cc board and K2ss in bb in limped pot vs 98ss on Q5Tss As, all in on blank river.
Nice to get off to a good start though, will be grinding tmoro and Sat and then out on Sun for the game. I'm still undecided on what times too play, the traffic looks pretty slow during the days so I might go back to playing later on like I was on Stars. My Dad and a few other people have commented that they think I shouldn't go back to sleeping during the day and playing at night as they don't think it's "healthy" but I don't see how it makes any difference. Overall, I found the software ok on ip compared to Stars, obv it's not as good but it's more than workable.

IMO they should leave Rooney at home. I wouldn't pick him for another game until then either. Get the players that can play together and get them used to a system.

Really ?? Capello has already said he won't start another game leading up to the Euro's. Most of the England 1st team have played together for 5+ years now, how long does it take to understand a system. I can't see a single reason why it would be a good idea not to take him ? I doubt there's another player in the squad that wouldn't want him to go.

Yep. obviously just my opinion, but Rooney has a shite record in recent championships anyway.
Look at England play, you would think they were strangers.

Yeah ofc. I agree with the second part and tbh whether he goes or not we have no chance of winning with the current setup, and I'm not blaming the manager, I don't like him at all but how many managers can come and go before you start to look at the players and just realise you aren't good enough. Spain are just too good, ironically I'd say Rooney's they only player we have that could get in there team, they only team that might challenge them is Germany who I thought were very good at the last WC and most of their players where very young then. I look forward to England making the 1/4's and losing on pens, Rooney will probably miss one of them.
Just looked on Betfair and Spain are 3.8, that is huugggeeeeeeeeeee imo, I'd thought they'd be quiet a bit shorter, didn't expect above 3.0. If they're still around that price come May I will be piling in on it.

re sleeping patterns, I think there is something to be said for having a solid sleeping schedule mainly built around being up when it is light but for poker it is somewhat impractical due to the games often been best in evening/late nights and getting up in the late afternoon allows you to be fresh for those games.
Tbh I have the most messed up sleeping pattern known to man, mainly due to the fact that I hate getting up for anything. I can press the snooze button on my phone 20+ times and not get up.

Haha, I thought I was bad pressing it 5 times and that was when I had to get up for work. I was pretty happy with my sleep pattern when I was playing nights, they only time it was at all difficult was going all the way through from Monday to having to go to work on Tuesday so doing roughly a 20 hour day but I managed with it well enough.
