If you had won the ME for 8 million or whatever it was this year, how long do you think it would be before you'd play poker again ?

Not sure, but i would be on the roulette pretty sharpish. Spin it up!

Surely some hefty celebrating with family and partying with friends needs to be done before getting back to grinding ?

Snap buying houses all over the gaff

Thinking more travelling to play another major comp more so than sitting at a cash game for japes for a couple of hours locally.

Keep up the grind, $1.4k day if you consistantly do 1/10th of that and keep the same outgoings you are on easy street. glglgl

Raymondo

Sad times but then good times, nice to hear.

Question, how on earth do you own a house and only have £300 of bills to pay a month! Mbn etc!

More important question Dot to Dot 2012?

LOL you would be arsed grinding after winning 8 mill?

Haha, well I wouldn't play SNG'S I wouldn't have thought Smiley

I'd still play though, but it would be quite a while before I did, would probably just play EPT'S and WSOP'S as well as Aussie Mill's etc.

I asked as Heinz was playing the EPT in Greece, I doubt I'd even know where I was after a week of celebrating binking 8 mill nevermind being able to function enough to play an EPT.

I've mentioned it itt a couple times, basically I bought my Grandma's house after she passed away with my cousin and his gf from my Dad and Uncle, I was there a month before moving out, gg. They now pay it but have missed a few payments so my credit rating is smashed, add that to me now having no proof of income and it's probably going to be a bit of hassle in the near future for me too get sorted out. I hate the idea of renting as it's literally like burning money, but no idea what sort of deposit a bank would want from me to consider giving me a mortgage, 20% wouldn't cut it I don't think. Also, I obv have the current one hanging over me and I won't be getting off that for a while as they'd have to remortgage and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't get a mortgage.

Sadly variance decided too bite back today and I ran pretty terrible in the 15's but I can't really complain after yday. Pleased to put a long grind in playing over 10hours and getting in 200 games and was happy with how I played. I expected to earn a little more vpp's than what I did as I only got around 900 but the 15's seemed a bit quieter for a few hours earlier on then what they normally are; been checking over the last week or so to see how good volume could be. Still a profit overall of $700 which I would've taken before yday. Grinding all weekend, hopefully switch back too god mode again tmoro.

Grinded 10 hours again today but only got in 180 games, stopped at 180 as was feeling a little tired near the end of the session. I probably ran as bad as it is possible to run today, but despite that, all the way through the session I was really happy with how I was playing. At no point was I annoyed or tilted whereas if I'd ran like 1/20th as bad at cash I'd have been absolutely raging, and would be for the next few hours. It's nice too have that confidence that your playing well and doing the right things when your running bad, god bless wiz Smiley

At one point in the session I was down 1.6k for the day, puke, I'm now currently down overall $300 which is obv a little disappointing after the great start but like I said after Thurday, short term results aren't important, grinding and long term winning is what it's all about ofc, and nevermind this confident I'll do well bullshit, that is going to happen  Tongue

Why is renting dead money?

That's such an old fashioned thought in my opinion but it seems to still be stuck in people's heads.

You can probably rent a 150k house for £500 per month.

To buy it you need to borrow £120k and also stump up 30k.

You'll be paying 5% or so interest which is £6k per year or £500 per month.

That 30k could also be invested earning you 5% or £150 per month.

Kind of negates the whole 'dead money' thing.

Admittedly the house should be an appreciating asset but I doubt it'll ever be like it has been over the last 10 or 15 years.

I know estate agents say it will but they'll say anything to get you to buy a house.

10 or 15 years ago the numbers were very different but that's just not the case any more.

Until you've got a good chunk of money behind you or decide to revert to the 'normal job' life I wouldn't even consider buying. It just won't work.
