How is the countdown to the new season of GoT looking.

Thinking we need an official countdown.

Date of the last episode for me, I won't be watching until it's over. Used to always fall into the trap and waiting a week for each new episode is like pulling teeth!

Did this on the original series of 24.  The BBC showed the next weeks show on BBC3 or something like that, anyway, got an episode you don't want to wait a week to see the next one so you watch it after only to have to wait 2 weeks to see a new one.

But the last book hasn't even been written yet, you could be waiting a decade, you could die before then!

Haha, I only wait for the season to complete, I don't wait for the lot and my life expectancy has gone up immeasurably over the last 5 years. The meds I'm on now are much less likely to do me in than the ones I prescribed myself the 5 years previously Cheesy

That's exactly what tilts me so much and why I try to not watch them until the season is over!

Not every episode can be action packed Mantis, I enjoyed it. Building up to something good.

Was only joking bud. Liked this week's episode actually and my fav part was when Herschel read from the bible. Brought a tear to my eye.

I  watched my first and last episode of Banshee last night. The plot and script could have been created by a 12 year old and the actors should never have been allowed outside of a tellytubby outfit.

However I must give a big recommendation for Romanzo Criminale, which after a couple of subtle plugs on here I am curently halfway through. It is quite excellent, as long as you do not have an aversion to subtitles. It reminds me of Our friends in the north, as they both manage to capture the mood of the 70's and 80's so well.

wow you sound like an old grouch.

I guess you both just prefer more grown up, dull tv in which you worry about the acting and realism aspects whereas I like to view the world through rose tinted glasses and just sit back and enjoy shows without worrying about things like that.

I don't think "this is stupid, this would never happen, an ex-con could never just see a sheriff die then become him", but instead just go with it and become engrossed in that world. A lot of really good shows revolve around plots that would never happen in reality. I bet you hate things like magic and vampires too. Just let you're imagination reign free!!!

On the subject of vampires, who do you think gets Elena in the end Brent?

I reckon it will be Stefan and hopefully Damon will revert to S1 mentality Cheesy

(Not read the books either)

I think that The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones are both excellent so it is nothing to do with realism. Banashee is just badly written, poorly acted not for me at all.

Are we only meant to post comments about shows we like?

Not read the books either. I really think it should be Stefan despite the fact Damon is a much cooler character it just feels more right.

Its not the couple I'm rooting for most in TV atm though, that would have to go to Amanda Clarke a.k.a Emily Thorne and Jack Porter in the show Revenge. Really want a happy ending for Jack.

Great minds Cheesy I see that it has already been renewed for a 5th and there is a possibly spin off in the works too called 'Originals'

I've not watched Revenge yet, but it's on the list to start watching once a few seasons have aired.

Best show right now....

Entourage the Movie comes out this summer, so based on the success of that I think HBO will be investing massively into shows with the same writers....

Suits is amazing, alot of the actors talk to us mere mortals on twitter alot, very good show.

Rick Hoffman playing a str8 man is wrong though, the only flaw in the plot lol.

I've got it noted, I'm just wading through  Bones and the final season of the Office at the moment. I'll definitely give it a spin though, I love mafia/organised crime dramas and will report back once I have gotten around to watching it.
