you see what the feck happened from the start. utter gash.
Ever seen Columbo? Every episode:
1. See the crime being committed 2. Columbo arrives 3. Columbo interviews the culprit without seemingly knowing it was them who did it 4. Culprit is helpful and pleasant 5. Columbo asks "just one more question" 6. Culprit still happy to answer it 7. Columbo turns up at culprit's house at a really inconvenient time (during a party/middle of night/during a heavy shower) 8. Culprit starts to lose patience 9. Columbo apologises. 10. Culprit says it's ok but really can't help any more. 11. Columbo has one more question and explains he can't understand how whoever it was who did the crime was able to commit the crime the way they did 12. Culprit makes a suggestion 13. Columbo explains why that couldn't have happened and then announces that this means the only person who could have committed the crime was the culprit 14. Culprit gets angry 15. Culprit gets into the police car waiting outside and acknowledges defeat to Columbo's brilliance.
It's still brilliant.
Alan Davies is no Columbo though!!

Can't believe some people don't rate breaking bad in here There seems to be a dearth of good TV at the moment. I think I have watched all of the recent "classics" though I haven't done any of the dutch Borgen etc. I don't mind watching subtitled stuff once it's on, but it does put me off choosing it in the first place.. Have taken my time starting True Detective but will rinse it over next couple of days most like. Recommendations: The good wife: v easy to watch. Hello Ladies (Karl Pilkington sitcom set in LA); v funny That Rake seems ok but it's a remake of an Australian show which is supposed to be better. Can't wait for 24 in May! .

Alan Davies is no Columbo though!! Creek <<< Columbo fo sho Columbo and Sherlock? That's like comparing an eel and a wild boar. You can talk all day comparing them but they are just completely different things.

No-one else watched Inside Number 9 then?
Excellent series. Quite how the last episode can be classed as a comedy though I don't know!

Agreed, although haven't seen the last episode so can't comment on that yet. The Understudy was brilliant though. Stewart Lee was on absolute top form on Saturday too.

I think Line of Duty has been one of the best UK TV drama series in years
Liked the previous series, this one has been an absolute corker. One episode of six to go and stil the script leaves you wondering
Catch it, sensational drama

would you recommend watching series 1 first or jump straight into series 2?

I would also say, without any spoilers, it has one of the bEst scenes I think I have ever seen in any TVprogramme
Had me out of my chair walking towards the TV going "Oh wow"

+1 to Line of Duty. The only programme that I am currently excited enough to have to watch in real time.
