Wouldn't surprise if Paddy Power, Hills or maybe Blue Squirrel refunded stakes because they didn't want to profit from Beckham's injury and a "disater for the country" or some such bollox.

If he's had the bet with Ladbrokes or Corals he's done it right in.

I didnt really want him to be a major player at the WC, but I did want him to go for sentimental value, fan moral and also because he has been a leader to the squad. I think his influence with some of the team might have outweighed what that nonce Terry has done to the team.

Gutted for him, deffo one of the all time great England players, will never forget the day he single handedly got us to the world cup (not just the goal, one of the best performances over the entire match Ive seen in an England shirt)

lol @ 1/4,   got £1600 at 8/13 and £800 at 1/2  in october with hills, 8/13 was abs incred value. Just a shame im the biggest jinx ever.
