Marc Wright (railtard1) makes it 1,800 on the button. Small blind Yann Dion 3bets to 4,800, Marc flats. Flop:
check check
Turn:
Yann leads for half the pot, Marc called.
River:
Yann bets out 12k and sends Marc to tankcity.
He eventually calls the 12k and gets show pockets ACES from Yann.
Marc mucks - "Yeah, you either have the world or nothing"

Channing has now rollercoasterd his way OUT of the Irish Open. He was bemoaning the fact that they chose a feature table with no player having above avergae chips! I believe his exit was A5 v A6 whilst turning a 5 but not liking the 6 on the river.
There is now a new feature table with Keith Hawkins (the camel) and Iwan Jones who has done a great come back job.

Stu Rutter is positively flush. He has gone from 5k to 24k whilst being all in 5 times and winning 3 of them.
He also knocked out Paul Gourlay with AJ v KJ and left Gourlay reeling after just hearing about the free drinks in the players lounge. It's ok, Paul can probably just buy out the entire bar!!

Cos was upto 82k down to 65k and now currently residing on 72k. With table mates big stacked Ross Boatman, Ben Roberts & the WSOP near final tablist John Magill, I suspect things will be lively.
Julian steady on 17k
Jen slightly up 95k and staying quiet.

James Mithcell battled pre flop with his oppo's 20k stack but came up against QUEENS which were triumphant v his JACKS.
He still has 3 tall stacks behind (very descriptive I know lol).
-------------------------------------------------------------
The organisers tell me that "in theory" we shall be playing 6 levels today.
If we hit the money at 72 players though, the day will definately come to a stop!
Currently 170 players remaining.

Marc Wright is OUT.
He lost a big pot to his neighbour who he tangled with earlier. Marc held JQ on a 10 9 6 flop but his oppo held J10 and held.
That hand left him with 3 bigs so he shoved with A9 and the big blind checked down his 74 to take the pot and the scalp of our railtard1.

DTD Qualifier Tony Millan is out
Frustrated he tells me he moved table, first hand sitting down he got dealt KK on a misdeal. Next hand he defends in the big blind with QJ. Q high flop two clubs, the raiser with AcKc turns a flush, money in on the flop
That leaves Jonathn Butters with 50,000 and Jason Herbert with 40,000 flying the DTD flag
Jeff Kimber is out. He tells me "The lunatic on the table manages to find Aces on my big blind. I defend with Q-10, 10 high flop sinks me"
The lunatic is Dublin's Thomas "The Bomber" Nolan. I must stress that it is The Bomber with a capital "B". He's about ten pints into today and I wasn't going to argue with him

Chip leader, I think, is Ciaran Taggart. 150,000 or so
"Who is he?" I enquire of my Irish blogger counterparts
I am told
"Young lad, was a dealer and got put into a few tournaments. Tore them up, gave up poker dealing and here he is"
He finished 3rd in the Green Joker Shorthanded, which is his major result to date

Julian Thew is OUT, pretty short all day. I was only there on the river where he clashed with fellow shortie Nik Persaud.
JQ for Julian
77 for Nik which hold.
Nik now on 44k

Nik Persaud just knocked out Iwan Jones and is currently on a heater. Iwan only had about 18k but had AQ against Persuads QQ. Now on circa 70k.

Stuart Rutter comes across a Nutter, sends his heart aflutter
Stuart Rutter raises to 3,000 utg, blinds 600-1200
Michael Mazilu next to act announces "All in" for 90,000. Michael is European, wearing a bright Ferrari F1 Jacket, sunglasses and has the sort of spray on orange tan that suggests that if in doubt, you should call him
Stuart asks him "So you have Ace-King"
Michael says "Yes"
Stuart visibly flinches, laughs and I think he believes him, anything is possible Stuart's body language is saying
Stuart eventually says "I have to call" which with Q-Q, 20,000 left and the blinds going through he probably does
Mazilu the Ferrari man flips Ad10d, misses and Stuart doubles up to 50,000
