Trace, for that price you could have.... http://www.countrylife.co.uk/property/for-sale/Scotland/Tynron/5993_Scotland+-+Dumfriesshire_details.php - andbe Lady of your own little estate... round the corner from Travis (the band Wink ).

I'd love to buy it if I won the lottery, first construction  - barn converted into pub/poker room  Cheesy, then the golf course into an archery course & we're cooking by gas. Would give the gatehouse to the parents  Cheesy - need someone to cut the lawns & cook.

I'll mow your lawns if I can stay there Rod Cheesy

(So long as you can get broadband in Tynron.)

If i could afford the estate I'd be able to afford a broadband satelite connection  Cool - It's just interesting the difference in house prices though... there's be someone on from London with a 1 bed flat for the same 1.5 million next   Cheesy ,  or even Edinburgh near Leith  - a few years back dodgy pubs & hookers, now posh folk looking for the nearest winebar  Shocked

As beautiful as that is Rod, and even if you get more for your money - it is far too remote for me.  Even though I've grown up in the country, that is more country than even I could handle.  lol

I think it's about time someone from down Sarf posted what they can get for that amount of money too!
