Congratulations to Luke Smith (TheDoc12345) who came a whopping 78th out 1200 runners in the LIMIT Holdem game, finishing IN THE MONEY, you done amazing considering you don't like LIMIT... lol.

And I note, with 33 runners from a field of 1,000+ still standing, that our sole repesentative is one Peter "The Poet" Costa.

Pete lists himself as being from Las Vegas these days, but we still count him as Leicester - so that's another Notts man......He learned his trade in Stanleys in Derby & Gala Notts, & still drops in to play when he's in the UK.

By coincidence, I found myself at Nottingham sat next to Kim, Pete's brother last night. If there are many nicer gentleman in poker than Kim I'll be surprised. Handsome & charismatic too, is Pete's brother..... (Sorry Kim!).

And with 13 left, Pete Costa has staged a most remarkable comeback. Almost Billy Low Stack overnight, he is now in second place, just a nadge behind ($220k to $218k) leader Todd Wittles. The wonderfully named Wing Wong is in 8th place. Pete has taken a few big pots off him, & seems to have Wing Wongs number.
