when this happened to my daughters TV, it turned out that some of the Capacitor's had blown on the power board.
I had to take off the back panel and replace them with higher voltage one, you need to solder them on the power board with a solder gun.
I'll have a look for the link to how to do it, it's only 42p per capacitor, yu need between 2-5 depending on how many capacitors have blown.

Check the power supply board for two capaictors that has started to puff at the top of themselves, Capacitors should have a fla tops as you will see on the others in the circuit. the value for these will be around 1000uf rated at 10v, Replace them with 1000uf rated at 16V. They are usually located near the plug on the power supply feeding the main board, there may be two or three that has gone bad. Replace them in the same direction you took them out as they are polarized + and Neg, the neg side is usually maked with a strip white or black.
I did this and it has worked perfect ever since
