So regarding the $50k a lot of people have messaged me about it. All the time during WCOOP I've seen regs playing way too high, guys who shouldn't be in the 250 6max in it, guys who shouldn't be in the second chances in them, friends reguarly playing in games that are way too high for them. I think about it every day and I just think playing the $50k would be a little hypocritical. I don't call these guys out or anything but to myself in definitely thinking that they are deluded. If I play the $50k maybe it's the same thing. I'm very good at a lot of things that don't apply in the $50k. I am very confident is be +ev but so are the guys who reguarly play the $320 6max and $109r.

Ego is such a big thing in poker and I need to make sure I don't fall into it. I need to be realistic yet confident but not arrogant or over confident. Basically if there is a super high roller in Barcelona which looks amazing, yes I will take a shot at it as a $1k but I shouldn't just be looking to play every super high stakes live MTT. A lot of those guys go broke and I don't want to be the guy who went broke so he could keep up his appearances. I want the community to respect me, to admire me and to think of me as one of the greatest but I want them to do this because of the good decisions and consistent winnings I make.

I really thought about it long and hard, but I think it's best that I skip it.

The one big thing about playing it is if I final tabled which wouldn't be super unlikely from a pure maths point of view, I'd gain a lot of wcoop leaderboard points. If it was in the last Sunday there is more chance I'd flick it in.

My tip for the tournament to win is Fedor btw.

Regarding Internet, I'd just moved house and everything was boxed and not ready etc. Pretty tilting.

Funny picture on Twitter of me playing in the street of anybody can find it!

Strangely good day today considering Internet was gg. Apparently we turned the box off and on too many times.... Hopefully it's back tomorrow.

Went out for lunch then to my favourite wine bar for an orange juice. Amazing place, amazing music, super chill in there, definitely part of my "winners routine" now.

Eat, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, steam, long shower, wine bar, change clothes once, set up computer, change clothes twice, set drinks up and frut on table, change clothes again, grind, win! Don't ask!!

Anyway after that we had football training, we have ****ing talented team, we should do really wel, some guys from other teams have asked to join us which is great. Great set of lads too which really helps.

Came back and made a 3 hour commentary with my house mate who plays low drakes MTTs but is v v good of my WCOOP win. How I was changing my strategy, how I perceived everybody, mistakes people made, reading into sizings etc.

Will be selling this for $150 and donating a bunch of the money to charity. Let me know if you want to buy a copy.

Tomorrow is the $530 6 max shoot out. Never won one of these, so looking forward to a big performance.

Going on lockdown now basically. Will be grinding super hard next few days. Lfg etc

Previously on series I was always "we have to lay every day, these punters who take days off are weak and have terrible motivation" etc etc. With my football teams i kept up my commitments as it was important to me that I show the team that I will make sacrifices for them etc.

It's the best thing that could possible happen though. Taking a full day off where your mind is 100% off poker and all the stress etc is gone is so crucial. In the future I absutdly will be approaching the series with the mindset of it doesn't matter if I miss a day or so. It really helps make sure you don't burn out too and also it really makes you appreciate the time you are on the tables rather than it feeling like a grind. We should be enjoying these 3 weeks of the year not feeling like it's a "grind"

Obviously it's easy to say this with the scores I've had and I une'er stand the guys who started poorly running bad that they want to make up for that ev. But just in general I now have realized more than ever that it's so crucial you have some form of passion/release/min relief outside of poker, even during these very intense time.

Good luck to everybody this weekend.
