Playing Live PLO game last night at the VIC.

Game is good, pretty loose, very deep

playing £5/£10/£25

Im in the stradlle and its folded to the btn who limps (playing £2kish) sb folds, and BB (playing £6k) completes

I have  and make it £100

They both call.

Flop is  , BB chks, I bet £175, Btn FOLDS, BB calls.

turn  He CKS, I CHK

River is the  he snap leads for £600.

The guy has been playing pretty tight....but really?

Call or Fold?Huh?? If anyone wold consider turning our hand into a bluff then say as well... I was playing about £5k

if your turning your hand into a bluff can only realllllly rep KKxx, and if he has a K in his hand may be a small problemo. You'd bet the turn with KKxx too I guess. Any history on checking back turns/ betting turns?

I fold ainec imo. Change 4 into a 9 then i prob call. But with no wraps/straight draws on the flop I think he alwyas has 44xx(hard because you have a 4) 88xx  k8xx k4xx.

Any other info on villain? I'm guessing he's tez if he limped the btn. Saying that we are in a "loose" game and we are 500bb effective with some players I prb just wait for a better spot.

Timing tells? How did he check the turn? Quickly? if so then can perhaps rule out k9xx

I'm guessing you sigh called and he showed k8.

dont wanna say what happened just yet,

I think u might have misunderstood/I said it wrong, but its the guy in the BB who we're facing on the river

the BTN folds to my flop Cbet.

he checked turn nothing notable, but SNAP bet £600 on the river. (like as soon as the card hit, he looked striaght down at chips, picked up £600 and threw em in)

He hasnt shown any initiative in the hand so far.

I fold pretty quick vs nitty live guy. I can imagine him just c/c'ing the flop with K8/K9 pretty easily if he's been reasonably tight

Standard fold vs a dry flop.

this is really interesting for me, idk if anyone remembers i posted a similar hand i played online, where I 3bet AAxx pre, bet the flop - called, chk chk the turn and faced a pot lead from the villian on the river, on similar board texture....

I would have just called as a default in that spot, but no-one except one person said it was anything but an easy fold....same situation here, IMO this is a default call, but everyone else seems to think its a stnd fold...

What are people's reason's for folding here? Also, when i say nitty I mean he hasnt played many hands pre-flop, but been more than capable of splashing about once he is involved - not a scared of loosing money nit, but a doesnt like playing non premium hands nit....

What hands are you beating other than something like 8765 turned into a bluff?

Yeah, true not many - but what hands does he peel OOP pre with that c/call flop, chk turn that he bets full pot for value on the end?
I guess it's just one of those super close spots where he doesnt have many bluffs or value hands so you need to have like a default line for these spots i think

88xx, K9xx, maybe he even peels K8 here, pretty obv you don't have two pair after the turn check-back so he might even do it with AKxx.

I really think that you're just levelling yourself here dave

He pots it so you really wanna think that he's bluffing but I just don't think that he ever is in this spot. The K is one of the worst cards in the deck for you. I think this is exactly how he plays a scared K8 type hand.

Did you call in the end?

Nah, I folded. but i really regretted it for the entire session, for my money he had like JT combo with a pair of some sort...

Think checking back the turn is defo best line, but In this spot im sure i win the hand if I check back.

I think he just doesn't bet a naked K for value here, and that leaves him repping such narrow value that I always wanna call....

you're probs right I think folding here will show the most profit in the end.

I think its a good fold, you can't really beat much tbh unless he puts you on just Aces and thinks he make you fold on a river which is a total scare card for our hand.

I would expect him to have some sort of wrap+flush draw on the turn but then wouldn't he bet if his hand was as strong as KJ910 on the turn, especially if he has the + x spade :s

Gd post.

I just dont think his line makes any sense at all, except the odd random hand the involves K8. When things dont make sense live its usually because they got there in some ridiculous way you've no idea how, or they're bluffing.
