Hi guys, I suggested a child board because of the success of the betting tips board.

Also, I thought it might free up some space on the general discussion board.

Finally, I think it would be nice to have a child board where people could discuss/debate specific hands.

Exactly my point, we have a whole board for profiles, that no-one ever goes in, and not one for POKER discussion on a POKER forum!!!?!?!?!?!

I support the idea of a child board only as a route to getting to a proper board.

I have said {too many times} that change is much needed, i just don't believe in the case of even more forum boards.
Actually i agree with others, there are boards that should be child boards that are full blown, get rid (well at least resize).

I voted yes but am a little disapointed in it's child board status.

I like the general discussion to a point but sometimes there is just too much stuff to wade through before you get to some hardcore strategy and hand analysis.

...which is why we suggested giving it it's own Board, &, presumably, why 75% of the blondes agreed.

Just remember guys, anything we do can be considered a trial run. If it doesn't work, we can remove it. If it garners interest, then we can consider moving it the forefront of the forum. Baby steps I'd say, a sort of middle ground.

Also, I reckon it's better than nothing. I'd love to have a board, however big, where we can go to discuss specific hands or plays.

Plus, remember that a child board can still be accessed directly from the main forum page.

Correct ifm. Clearly a subject that does not arouse too much interest!

I think it may be because (i) it's xmas and (ii) Many aren't fussed either way.
