Does anyone know any good companies to talk to about having my house alarm upgraded?
Still got the one that was in when I moved in, and it is a little tempremental.
Not overly fussed about it being monitored, but apart from that dont really know where to start!
Any advice or anyone in this line of work?
Thanks

I'll sort it for you mate.
Just tell me how much you want to spend and I'll get Neil and Clarky to fit it.

He said he doesn't know where to start. I can install an alarm costing anywhere between £200 and £12000. These are 2 geuine costs for alarms that I have installed (not personally, as a company). If someone doesn't know where to start then a budget is a reasonable guide. It's not a question that I would ever ask a normal client. This is Hopkin though who is a mate and I know how he works. The question was very much client specific.

Just trying to figure out how to pull this one off. I'm thinking a few of those laser pen pointer things might look a bit flashy if I hide them strategically and point them at stuff. Stick a few dummy cameras up that are "remotely monitored". Keep his house key for 3 weeks so he thinks it's taken ages to do. Tell him "you'd be amazed at how much stuff we've hidden in your walls" should be possible.

That way I will be less likely to question the price, and be even more grateful when you have installed it.
