With how aggressive he and they were both playing and how many times duhammel had 3 bet folded, i'm not surprised he jammed. The second it's all in they are both discussing and he's like yeah man sigh if you make it bigger or jam I fold but the click it back left me enough room. Nice hand, get there 30% equity oneeee time

He was so in control he could deffo fold, he coulda just binked an ace though!

is this available to watch online yet anywhere? Have checked pokertube, anywhere else? Think it was on TV last night in the US?

it's been on pokercast without holecards for the last two days or so.

grrrr, writing a piece for Bluff about the Cheong/Duhamel hand n would like to see it first....what did u make of it, Cheong close to being everybody's new fave player if it comes off?

You saw both of their interviews about the hand? Can get you links if you haven't both of them explain thought processes in the hand and about some previous hands (that wont be on the footage) that helped create the dynamic. Also there was a shortish stack (Racener) so ICM wise its a tougher call with Queens. Racener describes the shove as ridiculous and the call as questionable.

Personally I think Duhame never has a hand like 77-1010 or a8-aq, he is never going to 5bet to induce a 6bet and get it in with the shorter stack and huge stacks as he knows Cheong is super aggro and could get it in with two overs and obv doesnt want to flip, Cheong knows this so knows his 5bet range is most likely polarised between qq+ and AK (maybe) and spewy air. If you rewind a few orbits prebviously, Duhamel had flatted a Mizrachi raise BVB with Aces and got it in v q8 on qxx flop, so he could maybe even think he would flat the 4bet and get it in on the flop as most of Cheongs range was air as he was flatting alotttttttttttttttttttt of 3bets, even OOP.

Basically, I like the shove and would have done it myself.

Fanboys on 2+2 all saying Cheong played sick good.

Dunno bout that hand though.

what i seen of cheong was very very impressive, he was by far the best player on the f/t. 1 badly timed hand cost him the title.   choeng joined the commentry team for a little during the heads up, phil helmouth might aswell well asked him out for a date his toungue was so far up choeng ar53 lolol

great player, we'll certainly see an awful lot more of him

haven't seen the interviews, would like to see them if u have the links handy? Racener seems a bit weird, won't take too much notice of him, Cheong seems to be the man. It's easy to say he coulda folded and won the comp and as a one-off hand that's true but he got to that position playing so aggro and it's not the most ridic thing to bink an ace if the worst happens and duhamel calls. Great hand tho, I'll look at the no hole card version that'll do cheers

The only part of the hand worth analysing is the 4 bet. Once he 4 bets he is only doing it SO THAT he can 6 bet. But whether the 4 bet is an ICM disaster or not is probably worth looking at. Altho u can take into account bonuses from winning etc- id say it was pretty standard allround. Personally i wouldnt have 4bet but he is only 4 betting so that he can 6 bet.
