Gl suzanne...r u like me seeing the same names winning similar prizes?...they seem yo know what they are doing...
Yeah, I think to bib successfully for the bargains you need study the site a bit more than i did.
I used free bids to buy $50 worth of auction bids which i won for $45ish.
I decided to go for the $30 Betfair token, the one previously had went for $1.01 (1 bid of $1 + $1.01) and the next one only had 1 bid. I left it to the last second to place my bid and immediately matey boy put another bid in.
Once a bidding war has started you really need to decide when you are going to back down or if you are going the whole way....easier said than done!! I decided I would stop after losing $15 if the other guy hadnt backed down but its just too easy to give it one last go.
I shut down the site after I had spent $25 thinking "ave it ffs".
So matey boy spent $26 + the cost $1.51 getting it slightly cheaper than the value...or so i thought!!
I have just gone back on the site to check how much he paid when i see the actual selling price was $2.32

and matey boy didnt win it after all.
After I left there was 81 more bids and by my calculations means that there were 131 bids + $2.32 so a token for $30 sold for $133.32!!! The auction site states that the winner made a saving of 92.27% LOL.
There are definitely bargains to be had though, a $55 stars token has just sold for $1.01. I guess I just picked the wrong auction to bid on.
I still have $25 so will be back but not today. I left with a very bad headache and a reluctance to play poker as i feel very much on tilt.
