Peter Costa cashed in a WSOP event on sunday for $57905 then played the 20 rebuy at Notts last night and didn't get anywhere. Just goes to show...
actually it doesn't show anything but it's an interesting observation none the less.

I thought I was going to continue my shocking recently aquired ability to final at 20 rebuys for only 20 again last night but fell 16th out of 89 when Juniors dad did me with his A5 flushing against my short stack stand with A7. try again tonight. Friday night 20 rebuys 100+ runners. what fun. pints getting knocked over, nervous suit wearing 20 somethings limping and raising funky ammounts. Old regulars moaning about 'internet' players.7 way chops because we run out of time. wouldn't have it anyother way.

No, your spot on mate, i know exactly what you mean, you get it every so often, especially after the WSOP finishes, you get a kind of Bow wave of newbie's ready to Take on a new role in life and show the world what there made of....(except they cant even hold there chips properly, or there hand shakes Violently as they call your raise), You cant beat it.

....and i gladly make some money out of there new found challenge, before they realise it aint as easy as it looks, and fade back to there office 9-5's

i got drawn on the same table as 'the poet' last night - it was good fun. - he had 6 re-buys in the first hour, i had 4 and we had got 28K(about 14k each) in chips between us by the end of the freeze - not bad to say you only get 1K for your 20.  He was gambling on anything - so much so i asked him if this was his first time - but he didn't bite :-). - just goes to show that the Daniel Negreanu strategy in re-buys may be the way forward (as long as you have gt the dough)

good fun, altough my ears still hurt from his constant jabbering!

The 20 pounders at Notts sound quite fun these days.

I think I may even grace the gala with my presence next week.

I could do with a few guaranteed bob in my back pocket.  Cheesy

Hehe, Pete does tend to jabber a bit, eh? Kim, his handsome & charismatic brother, is almost the opposite, he sits there quietly.

Gala Notts, home of the Stars, eh?

Thursdays is a cracking game aswell. there are a few faces that were nervous 20 somethings and are becomeing more comfortable looking 20 somethings but Thursdays is a pretty tough field I think. room full of jobbing pro and semi-pro players. 1st would have paid over 3k last night I think. I'll look forward to the results sheet tonight.

maybe best you don't play fridays, what with all the star struck young first timers. yuo'll be signing autographs instead of concentrating on your game.
