Going to London tonight for my brothers 21st birthday meal. Going to some posh joint in charterhouse square which'll be yummmm. Bought him a sick present - a voucher for one of those adventure days where you can drive ferraris or monster trucks or go rally driving, that sort of thing. He's an adrenaline junkie so he'll love it.
Awesome gift.

Yeah my bro got me one for a birthday and I did it in Oxfordshire somewhere driving Ferrari, Lambo, R8, Subaru, Porsche round the track but you only got 4 laps in each car.
It was V difficult what to choose for the company car!!

Only restaurant I know of in Charterhouse Square is Le Cafe Du Marche which is alright except for the fact that withing 200 yards is St John which is superb and Club Gascon which I also really like. Use up your restaurant 'one time' imo.

Yeah its only one i know too- its decentish, not expensive, pleasant atmosphere etc but obv no proper wow factor- always have to split the Chateubriand with her old man as its his fave
Few doors down is a bar called Tart- they do Tartinis, which are cake based drinks- defo worth a try some are proper tasty

Thanks for the tip, went to Tart and had a lemon meringue pie cocktail! Was amazing!
Restaurant was Cafe du marche which was also really good, slightly hard deciphering the french menu but food was yummy
Good evening all round and now back to Notts so alex can get some hours in at dtd!

Yeh the meal last night was great. It was the Cafe du Marche, full of froggys but nice atmosphere nonetheless.
I went for the Cote de boeuf and for fear of starting up another 5 page debate, I went for medium rare. I always go rare, but was warned by the waiter and my Dad that "rare" in a French restaurant is very different from "rare" in any other restaurant. I didn't want to eat it blue and the medium rare turned out to be perfect. It was one of the best cooked pieces of meats I've ever eaten, so so tender and juicy, perhaps rarer as well than a standard "rare" in another restaurant, so definitely went for the right option. Bernaise sauce was nice, and crispy chips on the side. Raspberry trifle for desert was delicious. <3 eating out.
Present went down a treat, I think he's gonna do the fast car one, 4-6 laps of a circuit in a lambo/ferrari then you can do another 4-6 in an aston or something - sounds pretty sick. I might join him and do one on the same day.
Got the train back to Notts and managed a couple of hours at DTD before bedtime, there was 7 50/1 games, no 1/2 and one 2/5. The 2/5 looked awesome, but by the time I got a seat, all the fish had been stacked/left so ended up another lineup of regs. Pretty disappointing again, not to have a single 1/2 game on a Friday night. Booked a £30 win, which paid for my train ticket to London lol.
Hiroller 6max today, gonna play plenty of poker this weekend, as have been fairly slack recently.
