A lot of the regulars from the 2/5 were supposed to be out of town last night (sigh) so it didn't look hopeful for the game getting started. There was a 1/2 game going on that was good though, and really suited my style and BR. If I hadn't got coolered and bad beated many many times I would've done alright!

By 12 or 1ish I had lost 640 and although I wasn't tilted in the slightest and knew I couldn't have done anything about the hands I lost, I didn't really want to lose anymore, so when the 2/5 game got started (Gosney rocked up at 2am and suddenly things just got going...) I opted out. It would've meant potentially losing 1.3k in a night, which is a decent chunk of my liferoll so I just coudn't afford the shot.

However, I was stuck in Leeds until 5am (first train) so after an hour chilling with Lildave, he staked me 50/50 to go back in the 1/2 game, which was an ideal solution as the game was good and it took the pressure off a bit. Won 300 back then lost most of it in the last hand of the night. Massive sigh. Down 580 for the night which makes the last two days -1.1k.

The 2/5 game looked pretty sick too. LilDave, Jamie Sykes, Matt Frankland and Mitch with a few regs (Tony Milan, Gosney were the only ones I recognised), didn't look like a soft game or anything but loads of action and really deep. Lildave was up about 2k when I left, and had a ridic baller stack, so was pleased for him. Left at 7am and the 2/5 was still running with a full table, I imagine went on past 10am. Had Millies cookies to cheer me up at the station Smiley then fell asleep on the train home (obv) and woke up 3 minutes before the train was about to go back to leeds phew!

So downswing + life spew may have to = moving down to 50/1 again. I'm aiming to seriously cut down on spending as well, (Prague will have to be an exception I guess...) and perhaps move down stakes. Big sigh. At least I was really happy with how I played yesterday rather than the night before where I spewed a lot. Would be nice to win KK vs AK allin pre, not get coolered by Dave, for Mitch not to flop a set against me, to not run my only bluff of the night into Aces full etc etc.

Tonight's bound to be a laugh though - We're all going to Hooters to celebrate Deadman's win, courtesy of his backer. Ship the chicken wings!

So about 700 is variance (staking/%swaps/playing online/flips)
about 550 is random one-offs or anomalies like Gibraltar or house deposits.
Way too much on Food probs, could be half that.
Likewise with taxis
Doing an above average amount on transport as well. When Hannah gets back won't be doing so much on flights/trains.
Stupid things like that £200 roulette spin which is defo an anomaly as well

game was good, broke earlier than expected actually at ~9.30ish, Tony had to take his kids to school, Laurence had to go to the dentist but it not for that would have been playing past 11 I reckon Smiley

I was a pretty poor host tbh, would have been better if deadman hadn't shipped the deepstack then Alex could have come today when I didn't already have unbreakable dinner plans + a couple of stalwart 2/5 regs weren't around so game got more serious than spewy - was fun though, and We can't begrudge old mr deadman his thoroughly deserved deepstack bink even if it did mess our plans up slightly! Next time you come to leeds we'll go for a really nice dinner and then skin the locals after!!

glad you enjoyed Jamie's Italian, we've stopped going there cos sometimes you have to queue for over an hour and obv not doing that lol, no1's palm to grease either sigh food is solid though, and pretty good value, prefer San Carlo though if I'm honest - next time you come we'll go to Anthony's and get the taster menu! Smiley Smiley Smiley it's pretty pricey but Jamie's 0/3 in flips in there so best value in leeds imo
