not playing because i hear 90% of the field of the field are idiots and i dont wanna get donked out by moron clowns who overplay Ace-Picture
eg some guy educating the world that AK is only ace high and gets bent over and royally seen too over playing it lol
being a maths as opposed to flair n feel player tbh its 88.8% at most dtd tables coz they play 9 handed
87.5% on cash tables surely?

Lol at all the hand wringing itt. Just remember the phrase "haters gonna hate" and you will all save yourself a lot of stress. Re: the post about 50nl, what it tells us is that nobody whose time is worth anything at all wastes it playing 50nl
Sadly true as to "haters gonna hate". "Idiots gonna hate" seems to fit better, imo.
As to 50NL, you may well be right, but I know thousands of self-confessed experts who cannot beat 50NL. In fact, I doubt they could beat 10nl. They still give it large with the "they are all tez" though.

yeah i was in Walsall, but was doing my bollox in some "really soft" cash games lol so was in a grumpy mood for the majority of the week :p
the 50nl thing just boils down to $/hour vs winrate, we could go round in circles for hours on that one tho, like mr keys said if you can beat that stake well enough you should prolly be playing 50/1 or 1/2 and making more money...
I live in leeds and meeting an old friend of mine at this sky poker thingy at the grosvenor, so i'll look you out for a drink if you're about?
Lol at the opening sentence! Clearly, we understand each other, & agree with the point in question. "Soft" games ain't as easy to beat as everyone suggests.
Leeds on Saturday? Yes, please do!
PS - you have a PM.

I guess this came across pretty well in my posts in the last few pages of the update thread but I really don't see what all the fuss is about
Just as an example, national media has a pop at religion all the time. Comedians do it too and nobody gets upset - peolpe are aware that there is such thing as freedom of speech and people can say what they like. We don't see big crusades against this. The members of the religion/group that are being made fun of don't get all upset and offended about it because its a bit of fun
The posters in the update thread weren't saying that Alan is a terrible person, the comments were posted on a poker forum about him playing poker sub-optimally and there is suddenly uproar about it.
Maybe I'm just a terrible person but imo this has been blown way out of proportion and everyone needs to get over it - I'm sure Alan has.

like i said being more of a feel and flair player opposed to maths i've no idea what the maths is (the deepstack is 9 handed but you 8 handed cash table is correct)
now if you wanna play heads up for rolls do you have change for a £20 note coz i'm currently between rolls

Umm, no, not "uproar", but deffo worthy of discussing. The wider point was BEFORE Sunday, Sunday just underscored it.
And no, you are not a terrible person, not at all, & I much enjoyed meeting you at the weekend. I was a bit shocked at how young you were, though, wow. To be fair, when I was your age - which was like, 50 years ago (I jest not), I knew everything. If I knew half as much now as I did then, I'd be some clever bugger.

Having a go at religion is having a go at what people do, not what they are. But I think that's a debate for another thread at another time.

No, I have not, not at all, it just needs a little time for me to compose, in my mind, how I respond, & I need to go & do some work right now.
My response will be a bit left-field, though. Left of fairway, even, as I'll use a true golf story to illustrate my point.
See if you can figure that one out!

we're not samurais
'It is NOT directed necessarily at you, not at all. You are in that "disrespectful" gang, on Forum, at least,' - sounds a bit OTT.
I feel that calling any gang on blonde overly disrespectful pretty amazing, seems like one of the most toned down and mellow of any forums I have ever seen.
Younger people tend to post in a more frank and sharp manner that is being overly scrutinised outside its context, the NL50 Stars thing is probably a prime example.
forums need a little spice to break up cliqueiness.

piss off dave. i'm the other side of luke completely different spectrum to julian. tbh schwartz let himself down on the last party pker league wotsit i saw. actually came across funny and give it benyamin in his eye. just out of interest the worst player in that show gianni saffini or something did quite well. fully illustrating tony's earlier point about best player winning etc

lol nobody questioned his integrity, who he is and what he stands for. We have no reason to believe that he isn't a stand up guy and the way he plays poker obviously has no bearing on that
