Well, in brief, the advice he gave on HU play was absolutely stunning, really excellent & perfectly articulated. Describing players  - our Clients - as "fish", umm, not so much. I did have a bit of a mixed postbag the next morning!

The modern habit of denegrating players just because they are new, or play small, is, well, "regrettable".

Shame, you'd be an interesting guest, I think, especially if you bring that little Trophy into the Studio, we don't get too many WPT winners on, & Flushy keeps messing us around with dates & availability. You know Flushy, I assume, he's well famous & that, but a bit yesterday.

Seriously, no, we have not paid Studio Guests for 3 or 4 years now, there is no shortage of players happy just to come on TV, supply & demand & all that. One of two older players - marginals, I'd say - refused us, but we'll cope. The "Resident" Analysts, such as Stu Rutter, Thewy, Scotty etc get paid a full fee, of course.

In some cases, if the Guest is "right", we might organise a free SPT Seat, but I doubt Tourneys with a G'tee of £50k or £100k, our biggest Live Events, really floats many boats for you.

People just love appearing on TV, it's that simple, hence they do it for free. How else can you explin how badly players allow themselves o be treated on Live Poker "TV Tables", when they are not being paid a bean, & have paid an Entry fee AND Reg fee?! Go figure poker players, never stop moaning about trivilaities, & yet they allow themselves to be so dreadfully exploited at Live Events covered by TV, such as WSOP & EPT!

yeh appearing on tv is so plus ev for so many people and ofc its nice to have 15 minutes of fame.

The way that ff talks about fish is really annoying if you listen to him for 30 minutes when the spotlight is on him and you are asking questions, a little bit like the jakeys interview.

Watch him just do his thing naturally, i.e table talk and berate whilst playing is totally different and hes really enjoyable and entertaining to watch

he isnt a guy who is good on podcasts, hes not going to deliver a good show, hes not going to write a book but he is going to be great doing what he should be doing. Playing.

Also when he talks about fish he just labels fish and, omgggggg, this fkn gayyyyy etc etc rather than saying, this guy is probably really bad so a good asjustment would be to change your 3betting range so we can isolate him and play a pot in position including more broadways that we arent going to be worried about 3b folding vs and that he will call with dominated holdings alot of the time.
