So obviously we had one of the best nights out ever, morale was just insanely high, everyone getting smashed, dancing, laughing, absolutely loving it.
Yesterday is why we go on trips. Financially, I think they cost on average about £500-£1k a time all inclusive. I guess the EV of the week with the main event, sides, cash might be about 2k at a very rough guess. So we'd probably make more or less the same profit by staying at home in the long run.
But the chance of winning something huge, the chance of watching your mates win something huge, sick lifestyle, sick weather, sick nights out, the whole thing is just an awesome experience almost everytime. You get the odd trip like Austria or Campione that don't go well and we knock it in. But trips like this, and Prague last year, are just so so immense it makes them fade into insignificance.
I was in the middle of a blog post two days ago but didn't finish it because we had to go out. Despite the bink yesterday, I think it all still applies so I'll post it anyway.
I was feeling pretty down about my poker game. I was getting a hard time from Keith and a few of the others, and not feeling good about things. Despite my success I think I'm a pretty average player. I think I play really good against bad players, and can read them well and know how to play them / adjust to the different kinds of amateurs/recreational players. I almost never make mistakes/spews against them.
But whenever I play against better players I just lose my head and get into ego wars and spew off. I feel I've stagnated and I'm not getting any better. I'm fine at the level I am now, playing 1ks, 1/2, 2/5. But I feel I've reached the ceiling and I'm not going to get better unless I play loads online or watch training videos or get coached. Something to think about.
Anyway, we can worry about that other day. For the time being, we're back loving the game and morale is sky high

Pete has got one of the most unbelievable games Iv ever seen. The guy is just an animal. Also, despite the bad press, hes a massive massive hero. People get the wrong side of Pete most of the time. They just see him at the table trying to get under your skin (which hes also ridic good at lol).
What a hero.
Also Alex. Your game has come on an insane amount in the past year and a half or so. I remember that much time ago you being ridic proud because you made a bluff at Alea. Think it was checked down and you bet 15 into like 4 and showed 7 high.
That seems like forever ago now. You've come a long way very fast. It aint all gonna be as easy as it has been for you. You have a natural talent and desire for the game, but even naturals need to work. Take it from me, I was one at swimming and didnt work. I was never gonna make it swimming because I didnt want to put the work in to go further. You can defo put the work in and get better because you #lovethegame

Hoping to get another deal sorted in the coming weeks but with slightly different parameters.
