Of all the posh boys you went to school with who has the most highly paid job currently and what does he do out of those you have kept in touch with?

Strictly or Britain's Got Talent?
If you were forced to choose one. KFC, McDonald's, jellied eels or chips and gravy?
Ever get bored of Hold Em and think about playing O8 or mixed games? Presumably you will get in some big games if you did.
Britain's Got Talent. Not fussed about dancing but can appreciate a good voice. Don't watch either but saw the clip of a 12 year old sing Defying Gravity from Wicked which was amazing.
Maccy Ds isn't so bad once in a blue moon.
I play a bit of 6 card omaha and quite enjoy that. Never see many big games in any of the other games, but Hi/Lo games don't find too interesting, too many split pots / too few hands per hour. DC is ok but just never see it ran live really. Can't see any of them ever be preferable to a good hold'em game though.

Not discussed and only keep in touch with 3 or 4 of them to be honest. Two work in the city in kinda finance related jobs, neither talk enthusiastically about it. Assume they make £50/60k ballpark. One is a teacher and loves that, I enjoy talking to him about his job, think if I couldn't be a poker player I'd be a teacher.
Haven't heard of anyone making mega bucks, don't know if I would hear if they did though. 10 year re-union next year, woah....

Not many. It'll be in Saffron Walden where I grew up, in the church that was a big part of my life before leaving home. Mum got remarried there a couple years ago and I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else.
With that fairly big bargaining chip played, Victoria has a few ideas to implement her culture on the reception - which I'm looking forward to, but don't think it'll be all that traditional! Haven't sorted out a venue yet.
Best Man question is so hard. I think I know what I'm doing but don't want to write it here until it's final and I've told them obv! All my closest friends in poker have been there pretty much from the start for me, and they all would have their own qualities as a best man. I feel really lucky about that.
Mitch, Keith, Stato PJ and I all play against each other at DTD fairly often still, and people are surprised that our friendship group has remained so strong despite us playing so hard against each other and taking chunks out of each other for 5/6 years now.
It makes me laugh thinking about the collusion rumours back in the day. A few years on and I've come into contact with loads of different friendship groups within poker, and none of them except Jake/Pez/JP etc play as hard against each other as we do / did. I see so much soft play, and little "codes of conduct" amongst other groups (most noticeably in the older generations) when playing against each other, and it always causes little (and sometimes big) arguments between them. I could never do it, my brain just doesn't work that way.
However, I know plenty of stand-up, honest guys, who just couldn't imagine taking any money off their friends at a poker table. For me though, the easiest way is the most honest way - no friends at the table and it's the only way I've ever known.
Watch Friday and Saturday nights stream game to find out just how hard we go against each other

Ha good question. Most of the last 10 years I've been around 11 stone, few pounds either side. Then I weighed myself a couple weeks ago and I was 12 stone 8! I couldn't believe it.
I don't exercise or eat well, but it's never been an issue until now lol. And being engaged and with a poker players lifestyle, I can only see it getting worse lol.
I'll go for 16 stone by 40

Is Peej playing cash for u or Comps? Thought you'd done with backing?
Are u still backed for Comps? Do u ever see yourself playing exclusively on own dime at any point? Ever dabble online or completely done with it?
fave meal off Dtd menu?

what are your plans for Vegas? the all singing all dancing lads house, big schedule and long trip?
Not quite. I can't make it out there until the 27th June, but I'm sending a horse (PJ) out there from the 15th in my stead! First time doing that, and it's his first time in Vegas so hoping that goes well.
We are staying with Tom High (another poker playing friend) in an airbnb apartment next to the Rio.
I'll be playing the usual mixture of tournaments, cash and sngs. Hoping to buy a lot of action this year but the trouble is almost every staking proposal I see is marked up to a point that the player thinks it will sell at, rather than making sure its good value for an investor. Not crazy MUs just marked up to the point that makes it pretty much 0EV investment so I don't bother.
Also and this could be wrong, but now a lot of the best players / surviving players have done well enough that they are on their own dime now and don't sell / have a long term deal so you don't get many top pros selling percentages now.
where do people sell that you see?

I was done with backing for a while but took PJ back on last year. He plays both for me.
I play cash 100% own dime and tournaments 75% own dime. Yeh I can see a point where I have tournaments 100% too, I've been gradually increasing my % over time, it's entirely a bankroll related decision.
When I say I'm 75% own dime maybe that's slightly misleading. Keith puts in 50% of each tournament buyin and we have a 75/25 deal with makeup. We started where Keith put in 100% backing for 50/50 split with makeup. Then went to Keith put in 75% backing for 62.5/37.5 split (my favour). Now it's as above. I think it'd take a 100k score / cash game upswing for me to go on my own completely. Playing 20k EPT schedules is a high risk.
Fav meal is the chicken stir fry or the udon noodles. Spicy chicken pasta next. All of them are risky tho and can sometimes not be great.

Our deal is kinda complicated to get your head round so think of it like this.
Imagine Keith and Cos staked me 100%. They both put up half the buyins for tournaments each, and kept half the profits after makeup, so 25% each. A standard deal.
So Alex puts in 0% buyins, gets 50% after mu
Keith puts in 50% buyins, gets 25% plus mu
Cos puts in 50% buyins, gets 25% plus mu
Now replace Cos with Alex. And thats the situation.

Meh that's where I got to at 40, so probably a fair guess!
