The short answer to everyone is simply "he is too high maintenance".

150+ PM's, asking him privately & politely to calm down and change the trolling
67 (I have just counted them) deleted posts referring to the above
20 or so face to face conversations referring to the above, specifically talking about how to post, how not to post
many many facebook conversations over the course of, before and after all three bans

Yes he means well, yes he might be clueless as to what he is up to, but come on..we just don't have the time or inclination to carry on like that.

We are told (often, by Jason) that quite a few people would PM him asking them to post stuff for him that they knew was close to the bone. Not our fault that Jason was gullible enough to listen to those voices

It is a privilege to be a member of blonde, & it is free, but it comes at a small cost - don't rock the boat, conform to the guidelines such as they are.

I love Herbie as much as the next man, but if I was in charge of these matters he wouldn't have got this much rope.

A couple of warnings and one temp ban and then he would have got the Spanish Archer from me.

I've always liked Blonde for it's community feel and inclusion, but I think banning a member who posts as consistently as Jason is a touch OTT.  Obviously I take into account, he maybe high maintenance, but the blog is being moderated by numerous people and his contributions albeit car crash contributions, would make interesting reads..

Valid that being a member of blonde is privilege, but Tightys comment about "not rocking the boat" makes no sense to me (Maybe because English isn't my first language and maybe that some of what Tighty meant got lost in translation Ref: Woodseys post in the lounge) but to me there's nothing good that can come out of conforming when you have a difference of opinion.  And for some of us, the only thing we have in common is our Love of Poker and I really don't know anyone that loves Poker/Blonde/DTD as much as Jason

Blonde is a community forum and communities support each other, Jason maybe a rogue on occasion, but is deeply imbedded within the community, I personally believe he should be reinstated without restriction but should be made aware of the community rules and given a warning for whatever he did/said that got him banned from the forum in the first place...

Or if he can't / won't be fully reinstated, can he at least just have his own thread? That way if you don't want to read what he has to say, you just don't go in there!  (Although granted, this very basic concept has failed in the past.)

Suspect it's more complicated than you're making out. He was great from what I recall in 80% of his posts, but then he'd say something - for whatever reason - that probably gave the mods a headache. When I've met him, he's seemed like an absolutely fab guy who I have plenty of time for. But the people who run a forum (like the people who run a casino or anything else) have to make a decision about whether they want the inevitable hassle.

Think he's had a few second chances, although this is the kind of place where the opinions you've forwarded will get listened to and considered.
