I don't follow the sport as closely as many on here but tonight's undercard looks dire to me.
There used to be at least one very good fight/eliminator on the undercard of a heavyweight world title fight iirc.
Is this how boxing has evolved since PPV?

Expensive, when you've lumped out 40m for 2 fighters.
Just lucky it wasn't Eddie's card, or he'd have been hung in the ring after the Fury fight

Great shot, and interesting fight while it lasted.
Couple lads in our group chat moaning about the ref, but I thought he did a good job.
Could have been carnage if he'd let them carry on with the antics like they were.

Especially when the man bankrolling it (allegedly) has just been sanctioned

But he hasn't been involved since 2017

Smith v Vargas was good, and Taylor v Serrano was just insane.

They tried to rob Bivol, they really really tried. Such a bent sport. Right winner in the end though.

I had it level after 4, but then think I gave Canelo maybe 2 of the last 8.
Will have to watch it again, but when it was unanimous I was waiting for a draw, lol. No way they could do him, it was that clear.
He tried giving him the Smith treatment, but I guess Bivol's arms are too strong

Bivol was also superb after the fight, "rather he punch me in the arm than in the head."
It'll be worth rewatching that with the reminder that arm punches are not scoring shots. Fwiw canelo got 1,2,3,4 and 9 across the board.

He has been great after the fight, in all the interviews that I have seen.
Very classy guy, and as the rather the arm line shows, a good sense of humour, too.
I've not watched it again, but I thought they split the first four and Bivol won most of the last 8.
Been double busy at worth this month, but looking forward to Buatsi getting a proper step up next weekend.

Well Babic was great fun.
Buatsi's step up is here and my money is going to put the kiss of death on Richards. Buatsi is priced up as if he is the goods and I'm unconvinced about the Virgil Hunter switch.

Caught the 2nd half of Babic, and it was good
Richards couldn't carry the weight of both our money, as I had to have £50 at 5/1. As you say, Buatsi was priced up as if he was Bivol already. Good fight, but think Richards did himself up with the slow start.

That whole Sims gym have been outperforming their odds which is why I'm hesitant to pick against Cordina tonight. Unfortunately in Richards case it was only in defying the odds on to get stopped

Always got to support the brits, so hope he does it.
Then down under for the big unification.
Worked late last night, so I could stay up and watch that after the UFC tonight.
Richards did much the same as he did against Bivol, didn't he?
I watched it back once, and he's just really slow in the first 1/3 of fights. Thing is, if he goes hard early, he likely won't have the tank to finish like he does. Something he needs to work out, or maybe he has just hit his ceiling.

I don't know, I listen to less of the post fight interviews these days. In a similar spot John Ryder admitted to giving Danny Jacobs too much respect early on based off the back of his reputation.
