He makes it 22k, over 3x would lead me to conclusion he's not esp au fait w/ tournament technicalitites. I'd just call as we can just play in a totally exploitative manner here.

I think both options are viable/ok - Call pre n check shove any flop or 3bet all in pre - my decision would be based on how aggressive/loose is my opponent and previous hand history with him..

Don't know villain but vs this open size I call and ch/jam flop then berate myself after for not jamming pre when it comes AKQ and he checks back then folds 88 to our turn bet.
