One hand from yesterday.

It's 2/5 and we are 150bbs effective.

OI straddle to $10, MP who is reggy makes it $30 as he's been doing often and old guy playing almost every pot but playing passivley calls OTB. I flick it in from the straddle w/   . This fine or a great spot to 3b to isolate the old guy?

Flop is

I check, reg bets $60, old guy calls quickly and I call. I'm pretty sure I can only ever call here right?

Turn is  two spades  and I lead for $110, guy calls pretty quickly. Thoughts? I think it has its pro's and con's but I def don't like c/c two streets here so I think leading/c/f  >>>>> c/c. But not sure if leading/c/f.

River is   we?

so the reg folds and the old guy calls?

defo not c/folding river then. depends whether his range is more FDs or med pairs.

either c/calling or vbetting smallish.

I'd 3b pre to iso the old guy as you said. Flop is good and standard. I don't understand the turn lead and think c/f>c/c>b/f. On the river I guess I'd jam or bet an amount you think maximises fe to try and get him to fold overpairs. You have to think he'd raise a jack ott a decent amount with 2fd's and the old guy behind (even though presonally I think raising the turn is pretty terrible).

I would also 3bet pre, as played if the original raiser is decent he'll be aware that you never have Jx when you c/c and lead turn - its always a mid pair or a draw so he can just raise and barrel river with whatever he peeled the flop with which will be hugely profitable as he can still legitimately rep an uncapped range (yes I've decided to steal patonius' terminology).

Standard Vegas 2/5 reg probably won't recognise that though so I actually can't find many reasons why leading the turn here wouldn't be good so wp I think? Reg is gunna fold a lot and the fishes range looks pretty draw heavy. I don't expect the fish to ever call/call a jack here for fear of draws.

vs the fish I'd c/c or c/f this river dependant on sizing. The bigger he bets the more likely I am to call.

I am fine with the play up to the turn but I just hate the call on the flop and then leading out on the turn.
I have never seen where this moves gets anyone, what are you trying to do with the turn bet? What story are you trying to tell? On the flop you've clearly decided that you're likely to be ahead...the turn bricks so you're still likely to be ahead. Do we think he checks it back too often here?
