Love the optimism, positivity and lack of sarcasm in that post Cheesy

I think there's a great deal of optimism! I said that Matt Haris was about to ship another deepstack!

It would have been complete fantasy fiction if you'd said he was going to ship it without any whinging.

Been any div1 regs promoted to the championship whilst I've been away? Sounds like the 1/2 games need reinforcements from somewhere...

Glad I don't live in 'Sean's World' where everybody is a fish or a whale or a moron. Where everyone sits with a bowl in bowlsville. Where non of the games are exciting enough/ big enough or all the games are inhabited by pigeons, fish or whales. When the whale calls and hits he's a fish. When there's no games going on its a moan. Read your diary Sean. Not so long ago you were moaning about your luck, your play, your game. You got a lot of support from the fish, the whales and the morons. Now you moan that the games are small or shallow blah blah blah  friggin blah. I was was beginning to like this diary and in particular your insight into hand histories etc. You have got engaged, you are going to the gym and life should be good. However the recent increase in sarcasm and negativity is making it increasingly difficult to read  in a world where there are simply more important things to winge about. Right, glad to get that off my chest. Love and peace from a recreational fishy whale who loves the game.

Don't know what makes you think you're a fish mate, it's almost always a pleasure to play with you. Also don't know what makes you think I'm moaning, consider reading my signature.

I love the game, I just don't love not being able to love the game. There's a lot of stuff I don't want to write about on here right now and I suppose it's coming through in subtext.

Eye of the beholder and all that.

- Nik Flanagan will double up within four hands of sitting down where he either AA > XX or flops a flush draw and turns a flush for the lot.

This doesn't happen anymore.

And hey you don't make flushes for £800 pots right?

Frankie what are you on about? I would obviously never throw cards at the dealer. I lost a pot and mucked my hand and the nine flipped as I did so and everyone yelled at me.

Ian left the game because he had a 5.15 am start at work today. However Sean last night your whole demeanor and body language was that of a moody adolescent seeking attention. From the way you stacked your chips, tossed your chips in,mucked your cards, sat so slouched your nose was almost touching the table it was all a bit laughable. Really don't know what is going on in your life at the moment but from what little I know Poker is not a game to play when lacking in confidence. If you couldn't see just how you 'appeared' last night then there is even a bigger issue.
We all make our own choices in life but if I was you I would have a break from the game, enjoy the weather and the gym, rediscover your obvious talent for design and come back refreshed. A big part of poker is 'state control" and taking a break is part of self management. Whatever you decide to do I wish you the best of luck.

Solid advice from Ian, some Wednesday fans do talk sense Cheesy

If you are still worried about getting games started, come to Sheffield. 1/2 is starting at 5.30pm and best day to get decent deep action is on a Monday. A change is sometimes better than a rest.

I will never try to say to talk shot here, as I was there talking to Raggy when the incident happened . Everyone in the table saw that !!! If u denied it , u denied it . That's ur prob . I am only saying what I saw . U don't have to take my advise . Ian post is telling u what u don't wrong . FRED NIK MARK RAGGY BENVINSON IAN were all there . They will tell u if I was telling the truth . Take care

As a word of support for the author - I read plenty of blogs where people insult opponents and call them fish/morons in a distasteful way and this diary doesn't come across to me like that at all.  I kind of like the "grumpy old man" thread that runs through all the posts, and for me it is done in an almost self-mocking way.

I haven't played with Sean, but his posts don't come across to me as whiney/vindictive/arrogant.  I really enjoy the diary.
