blonde NFL Fantasy League 2019/20

Right, time to get this show on the road properly! I've been waiting until all the Premiership games were kicked off and out of the way before starting to nail the new Fantasy NFL league down.

Provisional draft date is set as 9pm Tuesday 28th August. Week 1 kicks off on Wed 5th September. Hopefully, no-one has too much else to do on a Tuesday evening but please advise in the thread if a major problem.

Of the 10 players last season, 8 have confirmed their interest as follows:

Not heard anything back from actionman or smileriraq, so assuming they're out for now, but will chase by PM to make sure.

All are in as far as I'm concerned, which leaves us with the problem of an odd number at the moment, so will need to drum up another player. However it looks like we'll be good to go with a 12-14 player league when the time comes, of which we have 11 names interested so far, which is pretty much the ideal size. The league can run with anything upto 16 players (beyond that the player pool becomes a bit too shallow) so anyone else interested still has time to get in on this.

With regard to the variable buy-in, some people have opted for the lower level ($20) with only Horneris so far being interested at $100. I'll keep the options open until all cash is collected. Consequently, everyone has the option of buying in for $20 or $100. If we get 4 people confirmed at $100 then the higher buy-in will run. If not, I'll refund the balance and the league will run as a straight $20 buyin for everyone. Basically, the higher buy-in option will work like a side-pot in poker for those who've paid the higher amount (i.e. $20 goes into the main pool, and the $80 balance funds the side pot).

Based on preferences from last season, I'll assume everything will run as winner takes all. If any strong objections then please post in the thread. If there's enough dissent I'll put it to a manager vote.

As last year was a start-up to encourage newcomers I left the squad structure as standard but will probably look to tweak a little this time to make the league a little deeper. Further details will be posted here, and it won't be anything too drastic.

Entry to the league will be confirmed via receipt of entry fee. Please ship via Stars to user ID debaser and PM me with UserID if not obviously linked to your blonde name. If Stars is a problem then please PM me for bank details. I'll then do the necessary.
