Draft question
There's no such thing as a draft question.
Forth and I spoke about this at the Goliath.
It can work where you have the top two guys in a heavy passing offense or the only two targets in a normal offense. Your problem is, while you have a high floor (one of them will be getting 80 yards and a touchdown each game), you have a low ceiling (won't be many games where they BOTH get 80 yards and a touchdown).
Here is an article on it from last year:
http://www.thefantasyreport.net/2016/08/29/should-i-draft-two-wide-receivers-from-the-same-team/The Buccs are a good fit this year. You'll be choosing their top two targets, too. Look at the depth chart:
http://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchart/TBAdam Humphreys is a dink and dunk slot receiver and Chris Godwin, whilst pretty quick, is still raw and might take some time to beat NFL cornerbacks.
Much as they like O.J. Howard, he will be blocking more this year with Cameron Brate. That division is weak in the secondary, too, so 6 games right there where the lightning of DJax and the beastness of Evans will be looking to take advantage. There are of course question marks about the running game this year too.
Remember also that DJax is a boom or bust WR in that he'll score 2 touchdowns for 150 one week and 2 catches for 17 yards the next. The pure speed deep threat guys do that. Evans will be a more solid, dependable option, so having that combination might well work.
Another argument for it is Evans will play against some really good cornerbacks this year:
http://m.espn.com/nfl/teamschedule?teamId=27&src=desktopGiven the lack of depth Tampa have at WR, having DJax in the team as "the other guy" makes some sense. Who else is Winston throwing to while Jenkins, Rhodes, Gilmore, Peterson and Slay are tangling with Mike?
It's not a strategy I'd choose to adopt personally, but of the combinations you could have picked, you've picked a good one.
I'd be inclined to trade DJax personally, but maybe after he plays the teams ranked 11th and 29th against deep balls last year in the first two weeks.
