Time to bump the thread and start thinking about the new season.

Things will be mainly focused on the D-League draft to begin with, and I'm hoping to start it slightly earlier this year.  I've initially targeted Sunday 22nd July as the day of the 1st pick, but if this slips a little then we'll still be ahead of the game.

If you're an existing D-League player I will assume you're still staying in unless you let me know otherwise on the thread.  I'm going to ask for league fees to be paid prior to the draft this season, which is something I'd planned to do last year but left things too late.  The logic is to avoid a scenario of someone being unhappy with their post-draft roster and abandoning a team, leaving a replacement manager to pick up a roster post-draft and be expected to pay the fee for that season.  The person who drafts in a particular season is the one who will be expected to pay the fee for that year (which has always happened to date, as we've had no drop-outs, but needs to be formalised).

Will follow up in a couple of days with an official 'send me money' post to get this moving, but just wanted to give everyone a heads up on the planned start date.  The format will be the same 24 hour maximum window per pick as used in the previous seasons.

Redraft league will be planned a little later on but the draft date will be in it's usual spot of Monday 3rd September (the Monday prior to Week 1).  We'll aim for an 8pm start time, unless there's a strong preference to change this.

I got a Q for you guys, does anyone subscribe to NFL game pass for the season?

If so, can you watch more than 1 match at a time, do they still have  the games available to watch retrospectively each week?

Not sure on more than one at a time either tbh, but this season they're launching Redzone and Match. So you'd be able to watch your game of choice and have redzone on at the same time.

Paying in installments means that I may well purchase it this year, much rather 4 * £35 than £140 in one go at the start of the season, I've got the spreadex £250 comp to pay for!

When will you be able to view your team and draft pick order for dynasty?

I'm gona stick around for another year despite my decreasing passion for the sport, my shit team, a constant disliking of the yahoo set up (I know i'm in the minority here) and the fact that i can only seem to log in on firefox and not chrome when I use chrome for everything else.

If the Monday before the season starts isn't great how about the Tuesday or  Weds before. Almost none of the teams play their starters in week 4 of the pre season which is on Thursday August 30th. Most teams use week 3 of the pre season to play their starters for x amount of time. If we drafted on say Weds Aug 29th then the 3rd week of pre season will have finished the previous Sunday and any injuries to players from those games will be known.

If we did Tues or Weds could there still be a free agent pick up on the Thursday for people that wanted to add/change their teams?

PM sent regarding fees to everyone in the DLeague.

I've also reactivated the league for the new season, so can start the pre-draft admin.  The first task of this will be to get the roster sizes down to 30 players, as some teams will have more due to last season's IR players being returned to the line up.  Feel free to do your own pruning of your rosters, but please restrict yourselves to only dropping players for now.

You should also be able to make trades, which is also OK ahead of the draft.  I just don't want anyone picking up free agents until it's either as part of the draft process or in the free for all that will follow it.
