Rich - huge congratulations on the new addition
Re: the punting downswing... whilst it's obv a million miles away from an ideal outcome you should take massive strength from the fact that you've remained logical and calm throughout and taken a step back at what you felt was the appropriate moment. Hugely important/significant to be able to do this and shows great character.
Thx for the nice comment Ed.
DTD this weekend?
Depends on a couple of factors a little out of my control. I'm hoping, 'yes', though fear it's more likely a 'no'
Glglgl if you are playing.

Dtd have had issues for a while regarding this. I've seen/heard people shout their hole cards across the room whilst in the club! Its really dirty, but it might not even be malicious, just naivety. Hopefully DTD come through with a solid ruling and do something to prevent this behaviour.
I'm not there this weekend as it is the first time my Grandma's can visit, but I'm turning up at the MC for a beer even if I'm not playing. Hope to see you there! (Day 3 preferably!)

Not had it cut since January, might have to leave it too, seems unfair for Pleno to fly all this way to miss out on the barnet

I was contemplating late-regging tonight instead of buying in at the start. It's all about getting to the add-on really, and then taking it from there. Will probably play from the start though..

All aboard the Jaeger train.
I've loaded up an epic few of these before....though curiously the pastime tends to be more thoroughly practised if/when returning to the old student bar than when out in London....funny thing that.
Hugely satisfying I must say.

15/20 per night have not made the add on, either through poor play or calling off their stacks with the nuts to be sucked out on. I don't think I have seen a tourney this month or last where late regging did not put you inside the top 50 plus I could watch the first half of game of thrones without distraction

I didn't get that far (went out to a rather interesting call by someone who I thought would know better with 64-sooted for more than half of his stack with 70 left), but at least there was nothing underhand with his call - he can do what he wants with his chips and that's the game.
But when people are being offered $100 to fold and there's obvious cheating going on then that's not right at all. I would report this to DTD, with a copy of the chat. Of course, there will be offline collusion going on, but that's close to impossible to police. The stuff you mentioned can easily be stopped with the chat blocked from a certain point out (10 from the bubble or something?). DTD could also monitor the tables from that point, if the ability to switch the chat off isn't available, and manually intervene if there is cheating going on.
I messaged them re the $$ offered as it will defo show up and interestingly said exactly the same thing about chat disable or a DTD mod from 60players down just to let everyone know they are being monitored in the interests of fairplay.
Obv back in the saddle tonight tho
Did you get a response?
i usually watch these comps around the bubble but missed the $$ offer on your table last night. What I did see the night before was an act of collusion. Two mates were chatting together and first mate (akhil xxx) raises and his mate comes over the top for less than 1bb more. It folds back round to akhil who insta folds. Makes no bones about what he did and obv some of the other guys at his table give him abuse.
You got any views on late regging over playing from the start. I've been advocating the late reg to my mates for obv reasons but thought I saw you in from the start.
I bust Monday before the addon
and like the idea of the late reg but if you late reg, rebuy and addon to give you 40k then you are in for 90 so can save 30 if you manage to hold in some spots early which suits me more just my opinion tho
