So glad you got there safe and sound!  Was a bit worried about you to be honest, but no need as it turns out.  Well done and safe journey home tomorrow.

Brilliant effort Geo! When I saw you fall on day 3 with all the weight of yourself and that massive pack on your knee, I thought 'that's it, we're going no further'. An amazing effort to first recover from the fall then to overcome your illness too. Full of admiration.

Superb blog mate.  The pics of the North Yors Moors reminded me of when I was a kid during the summer holidays and I used to get a packed lunch off my Mam and head out on the moors for the days.  If any others that have mentioned they may be inspired to do this in the future are serious then I would be up for it so long as we planned from early so i could train properly.

Looks an awesome training area that Geo. We never get to go up that way. Is it the same Glencorse as the ATR??

Missed this previously Lee, yes it is where the ATR is and it is the training area that they use a lot.

Back home now and after a goods night sleep I don't seem to have any ailments save the numerous midgie bites on arms and midriff areas which will disappear over the next few weeks. For some reason my fingertips seem to be a bit numb although not sure what has caused that.

First glance tells me I've lost quite a bit of weight so will be interesting to weigh myself to see just how much. Mrs Geo commented that I looked about the same as I did in my  PTI days quite a few years back.

Have now managed to get the photos off my camera so will post some additional bits and pieces.

Keld Lodge and the area around it up to Reeth, from our stay here things picked up for me, was able to have my first decent food for a couple of days, albeit scrambled egg and toast and a bit of toast and bacon for breakfast.
