15 minute break

Chaz Chattha 2,300,000

Toby Lewis 900,000

blinds will be 15-30k

Two of the good guys

I watch a lot of live poker. That last two hours was as good as I've seen for a while. Awesome stuff

Lol - when you have 5 mins could you point out some of the awesome bits for me please.

Can you also ask Andrew what he put Chaz on after he raised, re-raised and gave him you some verbal for good measure? Was he expecting pocket 10's?
Anybody who folds queens there would never be in that situation

Awesome to see Chaz win, has deserved a GUKPT title for a long time now.

Sounds like the final 3 were of a different class, I'm pissed now I missed the live stream! WP all, and WD Tighty as usual.

Had Toby Lewis to my left and he outplayed me all day and deserved to win imo. Thought overall it was a pretty tough final table.

Comeback Kid Chaz Chatta Scoops GUKPT Luton Title and £59,360

Chaz Chattha has won the GUKPT Luton £1,000 Main Event, returning from a final table started in last place and putting on a bravura performance to outlast tough competition and scoop just shy of £60,000.

After seeing off the rest of the 212-strong field, he faced the strongest final table of 2011 so far – with millions of dollars in winnings between them, his opposition was daunting.  However a combination of what he himself described as “run good” and a faultless sense of timing gave Chattha his first GUKPT title.

The UK’s best-known poker fraternity, the Hit Squad, have hoisted GUKPT trophies an astonishing four times before, with wins by Praz Bansi, Karl Mahrenholz and Chattha’s brother Sunny.  Now returning with yet another title for the group, Chaz Chattha adds to his already impressive personal record on the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour.  His 3rd place in the Grand Final in 2010 netted him a similar prize, and way back in 2007 he finished runner-up in the Plymouth leg; his fourth final table turned out to be the charm for Chattha.

In side event news, it was Dan Furnival scooping the big one – the £500 two-day freezeout.  He bested a field of 80 to take the top prize of £12,400.  Furnival also placed 6th in the Main Event, netting himself another £9,540 for his week at the Luton G Casino.  David Lloyd won the £250 Pot Limit Omaha Double Chance event, and £5,120, while the £250 Hold’em went to Karan Radia (£5,490).
