Carrying on the nice trend of posting alot of PLO hands on here, I thought Id stick this one out there for discussion. Have posted it on my blog but would like to discuss it properly.

APAT PLO freezeout. Blinds 400/800, average around 20k. We're playing 40k. Our table image is aggro and capable. Table pretty tight. We do have David Rudling-Smith (Q8Holds) 2 to our right, who is v good. 9 Handed table.

We are in the CO in this hand. It folds to MP1, who opens to 1600. Fairly tight aggro youngish guy. We look at  and elect to flat. 3 other calls.

Flop  (flop is sketchy, but its Kxx all hearts).

Checks to us. We?

What are your reasons for leading/checking. What is your plan for later streets and why?

This really depends on your knowledge of the table and how you think people will react. Are they all just unable to fold flushes etc? If so I'd bet bet bet.

If they are playing pretty tight I might check one back and try get 2 streets / bluffcatch or pot control vs the nut flush/blocker.

Table is a really mixed bag. From what I remember of the early levels, a guy laid down bottom set to Ian Gascoigne to a C/R. Not really seen many of these style hands, but play was cautious. Obviously now everyone has 30BBs, its gonna be alot harder for them to fold big hands in these spots. There were a few people who had obviously played the game before, and a few others who didnt seem to understand hand strength as much as they could.

Pretty much answered as vaguely as I could Cheesy

Opener's stack?

30k. More interested in flop line tbh, though I was tempted to 3ball

bet bet bet imo dont think it's that close, espcially live where no1 folds ever

chking back one and betting turn river is cool but makes your hand look like exactly what it is. great thing about barrelling off is when the board pairs and you keep betting your hand looks pretty dam bluffy cos you'd be expected to chk back the majority of flushes you've been vbetting.

Results orientated. Thought it was close at the time, so opted to bet to disguise

if it was a live cash game id be 3streeting for value pretty confidently. maybe being a donkament we could opt to the side of caution but I still like betting the flop because its the bet thats most likely to be called out of all of them imo

Doesn't really matter what you do tbh.

You either catch the other guy in a cooler, get caught in a cooler yourself or just win with your first bet.

With 2x pot back and almost no chance of getting outdrawn I check the flop to induce lighter calls down the streets.

Edit: wait we don't have 2x pot back, I'd still check though.

I feel so clever now.

I dont personally see the need to induce lighter call downs when no1 ever folds anyways. we dont even need to fold to a c/r and if anyone is shrewd enough to start turning stuff into bluffs they might board pairs/2p's thathave the  in them.

I want my river wager to be all in here in a live poker scenario where K9 is going to be a super tough fold and a jack high flush might beat you into the pot.

K9? I guess I dont agree with you on the kinds of hands people will call 3 streets with here when we bet this flop 5 ways with shallow stacks. It's isn't naps 2/5 it's some APAT donkament full of relatively inexperienced PLO players where everyone nut peddles (sorry for the over generalisation it's not meant to be patronising I just dont want to write an essay on tendancies, feel free to correct me). I mean OP flopped the 2nd nut straight with a PSR of 5 and is asking what to do. If that's indicative of the field then I def prefer to check.

p.s. op plz post the other stacks and relative position, it is quite important.
