EPT PRAGUE

The EPT is heading back to festive Prague for a fifth time this winter with a five-day €5,300 event from December 5-10, 2011.  Christmas is the perfect time to visit this stunning city with its famed Yuletide markets featuring gingerbread and hot wine stalls creating a great atmosphere.

Last season the popular event attracted a massive 563 players and was memorably won – for a first prize of €640,000 - by popular Welsh pro Roberto Romanello. Polish Team PokerStars Pro Marcin Horecki made a heroic bid for the Prague title but was ultimately eliminated in third place, earning €247,000.

From the hijack seat, Mads Wissing raised to 40,000. Chris Moorman took his time from the button before sliding out a three-bet to 85,000. Patrick Renkers was in the small blind and paused for a few moments. In the end, he opted to fold and Play moved back over to Wissing. He asked Moorman for a count and then reraised all in. Moorman had made a flush and earned the double to nearly 1.3 million. Wissing was visibly upset with the outcome of the hand and began pacing around the tournament area mumbling to himself. He's still on 1.27 million.
